Those Who Hope in the Lord..

...will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. Isaiah 40:31

It is all about Him, not about me. My life is His, and though there are many things I may want in this life, the most important is life eternal with Him and all the brethren. He will guide me to those things in this world I should want and to what I really need...He will give and take away as I go, and His ways will always be higher than mine. I will not always understand, but that is not required...all that is required is that I trust in Him, and Hope in the Lord.

I just wanted to let you all know Byron is OK. He was evacuated but is with his mom and has someone caring for his cat. He asked that I post something to let everyone know he was safe.

Please keep all the weather victims from across the country and around the world, in your prayers.

Wonder all around me,
In everything I see.
Hummingbirds hovering,
Displaying their colorful covering.
Little puppies jumping and playing,
A stirring breeze, the trees swaying.
Spring bulbs breaking through the cold clay,
The way colors fade at the end of the day.
Early morning colors in the skies,
A sparkle in my grandson's eyes.
Gently strumming a peaceful chord,
Pondering the wonder of You, Lord.

Well as some of you already know, the new love did not turn out to be true love. Thank God for revelation.

It seems I was not his physical type, although all had been revealed quite clearly before meeting, and it "changed how [he] felt about me"...hmmm....wonder what it really was he felt to begin with???

LOL

Anyways, I am dating non-seriously again, but mostly just focusing on this angel to the left and school for now. And of course what God would have me to do today to fill the gap I am supposed to in the universal scheme of things...otherwise known as His plan...LOL.

Thanks for the support some of you have given me ( you know who you are) and since I just turned 50 I am looking ahead to the 'fabulous' fifties!

God loves you all and so do I!

loving enemies

Someone told me today that someone who had done something hateful to them, would get their 'just desserts' and end up in hell for it.

I thought - how sad. How can this Christian wish that for even someone that hurt them?

Our Father is not willing that any should perish.

I have experienced that feeling though, that I wanted someone to suffer for hurting me, so its not outside my realm of human understanding that someone would feel that way.

I wanted to share what God showed me the last time I felt that way.

People who are in pain, cause pain to others. If I was hurt by someone, then I wish or pray for pain for them, or suffering...in essence I am casting a vote for pain to beget more pain and for that pain to be vented against others, who like me, would be lashed out at. How could I want anyone else to have to suffer what I did not want to suffer?

So now, so that no further harm be done to anyone else...when someone hurts me,I ask the Lord to help me not react or be affected by it, to gain control over any emotions that would take me in any direction not pleasing to Him. The best way He has shown me to help this along is by showing me I must next ask the Lord to heal them, to show them where and how they were hurtful to me, and ask Him to do so before they are able to hurt someone else in the same way.

The next thing He has shown me to do is to not LET what they did hurt me, now or in the future if they repeat the behavior. I am to die to flesh. The enemy of us all counts on that NOT happening , to 'get' to us. He knows how hard it is to die to our flesh and uses that every chance he can, and those same things that he has studied in us that 'push our buttons' will keep being sent to us, if he has any say in it, and unfortunately in this world, he has some ability to influence some of that. The good news is its all a deception from him, that anyone really has the ability to hurt us. As Joyce Meyer has said, if you go out to the graveyard, and yell your fool head off at those people and insult them and say all sorts of hateful things...I guarantee those folks will not yell back or be hurt or offended!
We need to be dead...to the darts of the enemy!
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood...

Those who hurt us are responsible for their actions, that is true. But the enemy counts on a combination of their shortcomings and ours (our lack of being dead to the flesh) to prosper in his path of pain and destruction. I for one, want to never again assist him, with the help of our Lord.

Dear Lord, help us to die to our flesh, to not take offense easily, to understand the pain of others when it is inflicted on us by those that are afflicted. Heal their pain, Father, and gather them to your bosom, comfort us all in our pains, and help us to go forward and 'sin no more' . In Jesus' name we pray. Amen

I had the pleasure of meeting Byron this month, and we enjoyed a nice time of fellowship, even though I am battling some 'physical attack' lately. His presence and prayers helped in my warfare, so I praise God for that and for the Call, and the fellowship of a kind and sweet friend in the Lord! Read all about it at his blog! Time for Him

Life comes fast - so much changes!
Plans and hopes, but then life rearranges.

Important appointments, must be kept.
That kitchen floor really must be swept.

I've so many things to do this week, don't you?
Won't rest much before I'm through.

Time flitters by and when I am done I will
Do all the things that are waiting still.

Do we stop long enough to even think
about the ledge we stand on, that brink-

When we have make no time to just be calm,
and let His love be a soothing balm?

He orders our path, but do we listen?
Do we stop to notice the morning dew glisten?

What does it profit us running here and there?
Don't we realize we are really getting nowhere?

Material gain, worldly pursuits, fun and games,
We revel in those, ignore Him calling our names.

Time gobbled up on this or that whim,
When its really taking from time for Him.

Let us break from distractions in which we live,
So much undivided attention to Him we may give.

This is the purpose we were created for,
to worship and cherish and praise our Lord.

And join in the choirs, saints and seraphim,
in giving our 'all' to time for Him.

"THEY"

"THEY' are faces of hurt,
and faces of hope,
from riches to rags,
a rapid steep slope.

What do we chase?
What do we need?
How much is worthy?
How much is greed?

If you have more
and I have less,
How does that lead
to such a mess?

What is valued,
What is dear?
The things that we have or
those we hold near?

We have fine houses,
we have fine cars,
then waste the blessings,
hanging out in bars.

We don't care who
has a meal or does not.
Talk about the poor
and the topics get hot.

"THEY" want to be that way
"THEY" won't work and gain.
One illness, one fall and
we now feel "THEIR" pain.

The bank owns the house,
now the Beamer is gone.
Our fine home is a tent
and we sing a new song.

Now we know
now we see
how easy it is
for "THEY" to be "ME".

The poor will always be
with us, He said.
Then we were commanded
to help them as led.

There is no judgment
no results to wiegh
Just a simple direction
to love the poor today.

So when we see them
will we wonder:
Are THEY really homeless
or in their own intentional blunder?

For even if
it is the latter-
something is wrong,
something's the matter.

Somewhere "THEY" lost
the hope for things bright
and slipped away quietly
into the night.

Who will reach out
for the hopeless and fight
Who will be Christ's hand
to guide them to light.

Do we have what it takes
to stay the course?
Even with no quick reward,
and with no remorse?

Will we entertain angels
or selfishly run?
And think only of gain,
of "ME" - number one?

Pray that none of us
need to walk in those shoes.
In the blink of an eye
all we could lose.

But never can we lose
that healing, guiding, love.
That grace and mercy,
from high above.

So be His hands today
as you walk down the street.
Be kind and giving to "THEY"
that live there, you meet.

Dedicated with love to and thanksgiving for the residents of Tent City, St Petersburg, Fl.

Forgiveness - Why such a struggle...?

OK, dear ones...

I have a query for all of us.

We that are truly Christian disciples understand clearly that God wishes us to forgive one another. Jesus taught this clearly and I think we probably all can come up with scripture to back that premise up.

Therefore...I have some food for thought.

Why , if we so clearly know this is what we are to do...do we find such a struggle in completely doing it and honestly doing it?

And why do people get angry with God when something 'terrible' happens in our lives, and have such a hard time forgiving Him?

I know we SAY we forgive...others and Him...but I have seen , in myself and in others ...at times, that it is something I am or they are speaking because I know or they know that it is what is supposed to be done...but in our hearts, those deep places...we have not completely let it go. Why do you think that is?

And if you think it is our sinful nature, what about it, what part of that is it? Perhaps in reasoning together to find the core of the matter, we can help one another to understand more what we must do, what we must ask God to help us with in order to obey Him in this area more as we should!

Blessings!
