These aircraft carriers are hugh. They cost a lot of money and provide both offense and defense in our physical world of illusion. I say illusion because there seems to be no argument anymore that consciousness is reality. By extension the Bible says Divine Consciousness projected this universe and still sustains it. Again if the Lord withdrew His breath our lives would vanish. I much prefer the Holy Spirit for defense and offense. Amen.

This is where the captain sat. The tour guide told me I looked like a captain, just need a cup of coffee. Ha ha. I only smiled. Jesus is the Captain of my ship. In this battle of life I keep following Him and resisting evil. Remembering that Jesus was stressed at times until His voyage on the storm tossed sea of life, I will also be glad when it is all over. Food and clothes said the Apostle Paul is what we need in this world. More than this people use to show off.

The dinner was very nice. On the 21st floor it was easy to see around the city from this lofty perch. I thought since I have been in the tropics that the country has changed while I was away. Then it occured to me that I was the one who had changed.

I am almost always wrong when it comes to making choices for a woman's apparel, but this time I get it right. Sandy approved my choice and has complimented me ever since, as has her friends.

This restaurant on top of the hotel is my favorite spot every new years eve. It has been maybe 4 years since I was last here, but still I remember the waiters and they remembered me.

Not really, but it is a tempting idea. Scripture says to give strong drink to a dying man. Well I am not dying yet but at least we could have a party. Jesus would not have to change water into wine. Ha ha

Are You Worried About Dec. 21, 2012?

Some of the most prominent prognosticators like the Mayan Calendar, the I Ching, and Merlin are dancing up a cloud of worry about this date. All this fuss based on their credibility of past accurate predictions has got me to thinking. What they are saying is that Dec. 21, 2012, this year is going to be bad news, real bad news.

Our scientists say the magnetic poles of the earth are overdue for a shift. This means magnetic north would shift maybe to be over the USA or some place. The magnetic poles might even flip where north would be south and south would be north. It seems to have happened before in history.

Also astronomers are saying that on this date Dec. 21, 2012 the earth and sun and center of the galaxy will be in a straight alignment which happens once in 25,000 years. So there we go. Maybe or maybe not. The book of revelation is my most trusted source. But so far I have not figured out this book.

I am not one to pay much attention to these seers, but for some reason this time they have my interest. I suppose that just ignoring all this until the month of December rolls around might be an approach, but really I know that I will not ignore this. I have an uneasy feeling that our collective negative consciousness will not improve enough to forestall cosmic events affecting the earth. However I will do my part. Just a few people with light sharing capability can affect the survival of a decadent population like Sodom and Gomorrah. Would it not be amusing if Big Church saved the day?

There is in the wind also the idea that soon there will be a turning point from the present bad condition of our society to a much better time. I hope that this is what all this fuss and bother means. But, in my faith awareness I am sure that it will mean something. Maybe if Big Church can't save us, then our last resort to prayer could.

Cheese anyone? These Napa Valley winery's are full of cheese selections.

Each Day's Trouble

People probably wish each day was trouble free. But, Jesus said that this is not so. In Matthew 6:34 Jesus says that each day has its own trouble. The point is we need not borrow from tomorrow more worry for today, as tomorrow will have its own slated portion of worry for us. We can only live one day at a time.

Jesus does not answer the why question as to the reason we have, in general, to endure trouble each day. Other places in the new testament speaks to this as our transformation, and growth in spirit. It is obvious we are separated from the Lord or we would not have trouble in our life. The presence of trouble is proof positive of our disconnect in some degree from Him.

WE experience frustration, annoyance, and stress every day from many places. Again, Job 5 says that as surely as the sparks fly upward so man is as surely born to trouble. This is our lot in life. The question remains, but why? It is not unusual to have daily frustrations, annoyances, and stress, but again the scripture hints that our life is not random, or accidental, or subject to bad luck. From a higher perspective there is an individual purpose organization giving us opportunity event by event to transform.

How then do we transform? Again, the scripture hints that if we do not get mad about the trouble or succumb to it but resist it, we will be given freedom and power to deal with it. Faith is the way of success in dealing with our individual transformation. If we really believe scripture that the Lord knows us minutely, that each day is designed in the smallest details for our personal spiritual renewal, then we can forgo our inclination to blow up, succumb to stressful events, and then experience the devil fleeing from us. The Bible says the devil is behind all this trouble and our cooperation has made us culpable or responsible. In my opinion, much of this is not understandable in our world but only from a higher perspective of the spiritual world.

Christianity Is A Pathway To Love

In my opinion, the religion of the Old Testament was much easier to teach than New Testament Christianity because the rules were clearly drawn in the Old Testament. To save a lot of time, my point is that we learn by doing. Christianity is learned only by experience. Like learning to walk, we stumble and fall many times, but by trying again we eventually learn it.

It seems to me that the Lord is mostly interested now in the intent of my heart, and my relationship with my brother, not details like what day of the week to worship, or which Church, or what foods to eat, or the form of baptism, or when or where and how to have communion.

It seems to me that the Lord is giving us His instructions to help us to learn to love and share through restricting our self- only inclination, and rather to choose daily the Spirit's leading to love others and share.

Is there any coercion at all in the Christian life? To me Christianity is like a pathway to love. We can choose to get off the path anytime we want. However there are consequences to pay. Maybe a better word would be motivation. I believe the Lord is very motivating in His daily design of our lives individually and collectively. Further, I believe now the Lord is interested mostly in love, not details of religion. His kingdom is love and mercy based, not judgment.

The New Testament is more a book of principles on how to love. The essential principle to growing into spiritual maturity now is sharing with others. This is walking in the Light as He is in the Light.

Like this famous crooked street in San Francisco that winds around back and forth down the hill, we eventually get to a love based life, but not in a straight line.
