Confident in our one mind and one purpose
Thsi is the topic or post which truely lead me to desire to start this group. All my life I have struggled and been hurt. I have tried to find the lord, and desired to to know him and wanted to live in his ways, but would always loose hope, and fall back into my own ways. I didnt understand why. i cried out to him asking him to lead me and show me and he is now showing this which I desire to share with you all. i have always been afraid. afraid of being hurt, let down, failing the lord, etc... I have just recently though taken the mind set i will not loose hope or faith no matter how many times i fail him. I have learned he still loves me no matter what. This gives me HOPE, Yes HOPE to strive forward, which i continue by his loving hand which I KNOW, Yes KNOW is holding me up as i seek him. There are so many here whom I have encountered who are hurt, afraid, going through hard times, etc... just as i have been through, and go through at times. But to me now, it is all like Paul says, nothing but worthless trash next to knowing Christ Jesus our Lord. Pauls writtings have taught me so much. they have dweled in my heart for a long time. Many are just now coming to understanding and becoming real to me. Rom 8:26-28 Paul says starting in verse 26 Also the spirit helps us with our weakness. We do not know how to pray as we should. But the spirit himselfspeaks to god for us.even begs God for us with deep feelings that words can not explain. 27 God can see whats in peoples hearts. And he knows what is in the mind of the spirit,because the spirit speaks to god for people in the way God wants. 28 We KNOW that in everything God works for the good of those who love him. Paul is telling us this so that we will know that God is with us, and hears us. So we won't doubt. So we will be confident in knowing that Lord knows our heart. Rom 8:31 Then Pauls tells us knowing this, if God is with us, then no one can defeat us. Then is verse 35 Can anything separate us from the love Christ has for us? can troubles or problems or sufferings or hunger or nakedness or danger or violent death?36 as it is written for you, we are in danger of death all the time. People THINK we are WORTH no more then sheep to be slautered. 37 But in ALL THINGS we have full victory through God who showed us his love. This next part is what Paul and the lord desire us to THINK< AND BE SURE OF, YES (SURE OF) (CONFIDENT) VERSE 38 Paul says 38 yes, I am SURE that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor ruling spirits, nothing now, nothing in the future, no powers, 39 nothing above, nothing belowus, nor not anything else in the whole world will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. these things paul wants to make clear to us and for us to be grounded in, sure of, confident of what we have through Christ. If we are confident of this, then what do we have to fear? All these things are the truth and the New Mind and we should have and know in our hearts. for God does not give us a spirit of fear, but one of knowing what we have through Christ. So we can be confident and not afraid. paul also tells us in Phip 2: to have one mind and one purpose, for thst of bringing honor and glory to Christ. Behold, God is my salvation, I will trust and not be afraid. These verses come to my mind..So many times it is so easy to let fear rule our lives. The thing is though, we can't live in fear. Fear affects our relationship with God, it also gives satan the victory over our fear. Fear is such a sneaky thing. It creeps up on you. You may not realize how it works, it can keep you from receiving the blessing that God has in store for us. Fear can also keep us from being a blessing to others. Learning to trust God in every aspect in our lives is the key. Letting go of our fear and trusting God in everything...fear can be as simple as keeping you from singing in church, playing the piano, playing an instrument for God's glory, teaching a Sunday School class, leading a Bible Study, sharing the Word with the lost, getting in a car to go somewhere, fear of the past,etc.. regardless satan uses these avenues of fear on us on a daily basis..Why let him have the victory...why not trust God and lay it all at the foot of the cross..It is so easy to give it to the Lord, however the way our flesh works it is easier to give and then take it back and hold onto it again. We need to let Him have it all so He can bury it in the deepest ocean..So our relationship in Him may continue to grow. Trust God and let Him have the victory over our fear. I John 4:18,19..There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment.But he who fears has not been made perfect in love. We love Him because He first loved us..What a blessing to have such a Heavenly Father that loves us and cares for everyone. May God bless you all | |||

When fear tries to sneak upon us just remember what it stands for, this has helped me many times and of course go to the source, Gods word! |
