For anyone that have read my advice questions and/or my
blogs, you know that I have carried a burden for the people
here on BC that are leaving due to some perceived injury
received
at the hands of others.
Today, , God, Omnipotent, all wise, all knowing, loving
Father, assured me that all is well. In my devotion time,
this morning, I was reading today's SS lesson. It is ...

A husband and wife attend a small service at the local church
one Sunday morning. The man was very moved by the preacher's
sermon, so he stopped to shake the preacher's hand.
Reverend, that was the best damn sermon I ever did hear!"
The Reverend replied, "Oh! Why, thank you sir, but
please, I'd appreciate it if you didn't use profanity
in the Lord's house."

Letting go of the hurt requires forgiveness 9/2/2006
There are so many songs that tell of broken hearts and not
being able to fall out of love with your x sweetheart.
My past experience with a breakup was someone that I loved
so much, that we kept breaking up and going back to dating
for over 3 years. This is basically because I am so persistent,
and I forgive so easily.
But, the hardest thing to forgive is his not ...

Think you can't go on....quess again 8/21/2006
This is a poem i wrote years ago. Breaking is not easy, but
remember God's got your back!!
It Will Be Alright
When I think of you
A wishful smile breaks thru
The sharp pain is still there
But somehow comfort resides too
It will be alright
Had a nightmare last night
You were passionately kissing
Your new girlfriend good night
I asked the ...

The Disappearing Act 8/5/2006
I'm no expert, but someone once told me that the soul
of good manners was the ability to put people at ease and
make them feel valued. That said, I'm going to use this
space today to discuss what I see as the most prevalent example
of bad manners in the single world: "The Disappearing
Act".
For those of you who are unfamiliar with this term, it's
what I call it when a person that ...

He left again 8/3/2006
Prepare yourself, this is a long one. I just had my 6 year

went home to Nebraska for 2 weeks. He came back and not 5 minutes
after we walked in the door he told me he did not love me anymore
and wants out. (I admit, I was horrible to him the first 4
years of our marriage) I was crushed. I had just gone through
some pretty traumatic ...

Or sometimes the wrongs we have done to others. For instance
abuse, whether physical, verbal, is not easily forgotten.
Or even mental abuse. Such as in a divorce where one or both
people think, that maybe there was something they could
or should have done to save the marrage. They blame themselves
and the pain that is felt is ...

Handling a Break up 6/1/2006
1. Keep PERSPECTIVE.
As the person who has been broken up with you will find that
you will feel disappointed, mad, angry, depressed. You
may even question your self worth. A root of bitterness
can easily spring up. Jealousy looks for a place to start
growing. It is easy to lose perspective, to feel terrible,
and to feel lonely.
In regaining perspective I have found it helpful to ...
