It's Hard To Do 8/26/2005
As an unmarried Christian, one of the hardest things to
do well is end a dating or courting relationship. But, with
a little extra communcation and effort to be on the same
page from the begining, the end of a relationship can be
as much of a blessing as it is a trial.
Part of our problem is that we don't have the same understanding
of what the relationship is in the first place. ...

Female view needed on this. Men welcome to comment too. 8/26/2005
I 've known this girl at work (Robbin) for 9 months now,
though we've only been going out for just over 3 months.
She had a b/f at the time, but would always complain about
him being overweight, have no energy, not that attractive,
snored, could barely form sentences, etc, etc. she never
had b/f's in high school. She's ok looking, nice
shape, and blonde hair. I usually date more attractive ...

Stay-at-home-wife 8/25/2005
I have been doing research into what it takes to be a stay
at home wife and mother and have come across one article
where the writer speaks on Titus 2:4, 5. I will be the first
to admit that I have not gotten very far. Does anyone else
have any insight for me? Any verses? Thanks

After 20(!) yrs together can it be that bad???!!! 8/3/2005
I've read so many of the responses to this subject and
some made me mad because they made me mourn my 20 year relationship
with someone that I sincerely believed was an answer to
a prayer. So many things in our life were what others called
coincidental. But I believed they were ordered STEPS by
God. The responses I read brought me back to pleasant memories
that I could no longer share. I ...

Wonders Never Cease 7/29/2005
I read a really great post by another Big Church member who
wrote about falling in love with a non-believer. I found
myself smiling as she broke down her experience under those
circumstances - it was all too familiar!
<br>
I remember back in college when a guy I was dating met me at
my dorm to walk me to class. His eyes scanned the books of
my shelves and when he saw my Bible and ...

The thing that can bring break-up 7/16/2005
One of the numerous things that can help parties in a relationship
to get along without breaking up is to be able to seek and
identify any factor that can lead to break-up. When this
is done by both parties, they can be rest assured that they
will never have a break-up. But the fact is that many people
don't have the courage to accept the only thing that
can lead to break-up in a ...

The Honest Dishonesty 7/7/2005
When parties in a relationship sudenly stop to communicate
with each other, without telling each o the need to stop
communicating, it is jst the honest way of saying it is over.
But many would also see this as being dishonest in the sense
that there should have been a discussion, whether ormal
or informal about such impening break up, so that the two
parties woul be able to know their wrong ...

Moving On 6/26/2005
How is one suppose to move on after being destroyed emotionally?
My husband of almost 15 years informed me Christmas night
that he had fallen "in love" with someone else.
It was a total shock. He is gone a lot because of his job. The
last few weeks have all been a blurr. He has come home twice
to "try" to work things out but is not willing
to give her up. How do you ever get to the ...

Love can sometimes hurt 6/17/2005
What do you do when you lose someone that meant so much to
you that you are left empty and aching? Why is it that when
love leaves, it hurts so much that you can't even cry?
What is the big deal about love anyway you mumble, seriously
considering that perhaps it's better to avoid loving
altogether!

The Hardest Thing 6/16/2005
The hardest thing in an inevitable break up is walking away
in a dignified manner and not stooping to verbal abuse and
mean petty pay backs aimed to hurt the other half but only
results in hurting one's self eventually. Then there
is the other extreme, where instead of wanting to inflict
as much pain and damage to the other party, the pain is inflicted
to self. This can range from mild to ...

When the other person does not say much. 5/25/2005
There is a book out that I have read recently about boundaries.
It is called 'Boundaries' by Dr. Henry Cloud.
A defanite read for anyone that wants a healthy relationship.
As a guy I asked this other person out and she was very pleasant.
Then I would call her at home and she sounded like she did
not want to talk. So I communicated by e-mail and wrote a

What's your opinion on the KJV version of the Bible vs. the NIV? 5/17/2005
I was brought up with the King James Bible. That's the
one I memorized scripture from. I always accepted it, no
problem. Then, about ten years ago, my church switched
to the NIV. I couldn't follow along very well with my
KJV so I finally switched too. It didn't seem right
at first, but now I really prefer the NIV.
Many evangelical churches in my area have switched to the
NIV. Still, ...

Breaking up is definately one of the hardest things to do.
It is a time you have to deal with a broken heart, confusion,
anger, and sometimes a sense of worthlessness. Within
all these emotions and heartache, there is one thing to
remember and cling to. That is that God lets things happen
for a reason, and most likely the breakup happened for a
very good cause. God wants to use these times ...
