I grew up in an age when meals were ALL from scratch, and people lived on what they could grow, raise, and trade excess with neighbors who grew or raised different things. There were no deep-freezers, no fast food outlets, no ready-made to pop in the oven foods, and the nearest grocery store for farm people was 50 miles away.People made their own jams, jellies, pickles, and canned fruit, vegetables, beef, pork and chicken to have on hand should neighbors drop in.
I developed a great interest in recipies over the years, and started collecting recipies.
What are your favorites (main courses, desserts, cold weather dishes, hot weather dishes, etc.) I would appreciate hearing from people all over the world here with recipies of what they use in their locations.
God's blessings to all who contribute.
