if a walmart security guard is a cop in another city and working part time for extra cash at walmart:

IS HE A POLICE OFFICER WHILE HE IS WORKING?

ie, can he put his hands on walmart customers?

I don't think so. if a security guard even touches a customer, it is assault.

"I have the right to do anything," you say--but not everything is beneficial. "I have the right to do anything"--but not everything is constructive.(1 Corinthians 10:23)

"I will put my law in their minds and write it on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people. (Jeremiah 31:33)

what is sin for one, may not be for the next. each of us knows what is wrong or right before god. god tells us.

I do not profess to tell anybody what is a sin in their life, that is between them and god. HOWEVER, when people profess to tell others what is sin, they need to be schooled.

if you don't know what the bible says, do NOT try to tell others what god says.

fornication? no thanks, but extramarital relations is not sin. NOPE.

The FIRST occurence of a word translated as fornication is used in the Old Testament, II Chronicles 21:81. The word is from the Hebrew, No. 2181, Zanah, defined by Strong’s as: "to commit adultery (usually on the female, and less often of simple fornication, rarely of involuntary ravishment); fig. To commit idolatry (the Jewish people being regarded as the spouse of [Yahweh])…"

NOT at all extramarital relations. nope.

Strong’s offers a broad definition and not an exact definition. to completely understand the usage of a particular word in the Hebrew or Greek, one must examine the context of the passage in question.

a Complete Word Study offers a more decisive definition than Strong’s. "To fornicate, commit fornication, be a , play the , commit adultery; to apostatize, have intercourse with false gods or foreigners; to seduce. "

again. NOT at all simple extramarital relations. nope. if you love someone and are committed to them, and you sleep together...it is NOT fornication by ANY stretch of the imagination.

The second word translated as fornication in English is found only once in Hebrew, in Ezekiel 16:29. The word fornication in this passage is from the Hebrew, No. 8457, taznuth, and simply means a type of idolatry.

NOT at all extramarital relations. nope.

The third word translated as fornication is found in the Greek and is first used in Matthew 5:32. This word derives from the Greek word, No. 4202, porneia and is defined in the Strong’s as follows, "from 4203; harlotry (incl. Adultery and ); fig. Idolatry: - fornication."

NOT at all extramarital. nope.

In 1 Corinthians:5 Paul tells the Corinthian assembly to remove the sin allowed in their church. One sin listed by the Apostle was a gentile committing "fornication" with his father’s wife. Now this is not what we consider fornication, but more accurately this signifies with his stepmother, and this WAS a sin listed in Leviticus.

it is NOT a NEW commandment against non-married relations at all. NOPE.

Fornication in either the Hebrew or Greek can have a wide range of definitions. It can mean literal fornication, adultery, harlotry, , pedophilia, bestiality, or any other restriction that Yahweh has placed for mankind to observe.

it is NOT a clear commandment against premarital relations. NOPE. there is NO commandment against unmarried bouncy bouncy. NOPE.

Leviticus says that if a man impregnates a virgin he must ask her father for her hand in marriage. THAT is the closest to a commandment about extramarital relations which exists.

if the woman is not a virgin, he doesn't have to marry her. if her father says no, he doesn't have to marry a virgin. if a woman is not a virgin, and isn't married, that means she already had extramarital relations.

it is all well and good if you believe you should not have pre-marital relations. good for you and yours. it is a wise course of action, and the apostle paul agrees with you.

HOWEVER, pre-marital relations is NOT sin. NOPE.

READ the bible, don't just listen to people who SAY they know what the bible says. and if you want to listen to people that don't know the bible from a hole in their head, that is your prerogative.

but do NOT accuse others of sin when you don't even know what the bible says.

christ was without sin

Christ lived the only perfect life. he was completely without sin.

that means all sin had to be clearly established before he lived and died.

sure, there is wiggle room in the spirit of the law, jesus put down the Pharisees for being so legalistic. however, there is no wiggle room on what is sin and what is not. there could be NO commandments added after Christ lived and died.

else, it would mean that there was sin he did not triumph over? or that he did not live the perfect life?

no way. Christ triumped over ALL sin.

that means ALL sins were in existence when Christ lived as a man. there can be NO sin added afterward. there is no writing in the new testament that claims to be new commandment from god. there are NO laws in the bible that are not in the old testament. there can not be.

those of you who believe that the epistles are commandments don't understand what Christ did. the advice of the epistles is godly and of godly men, but it is NOT commandment. it is good advice, and good theology, and good practice. HOWEVER, not following it is NOT sin.

It can not be sin if it came after Christ walked the earth.

if you think it can be, you don't understand who jesus is.

a LOT of people here have accused me of 'liberal' and/or 'protestant' theology. people claim I studied at an off the books seminary. neither is true.

I am not a liberal or a protestant, and in fact take issues with a lot of what either position believes. I purposely do not commit to any denomination or order. I take issue with a lot of what was taught at my seminary, and did not become ordained there. still, I did 4 years of a standardized MDiv program and learned a WHOLE lot bout the bible and the history of god.

I met an archbishop of a black church in jail and he is a very godly and intelligent man. he is going to ordain me in his church when he gets out.

ANYWAYS...I did my senior thesis on the fact that the bible NEVER uses ANY word that means hell and eternal punishment in the way in which we have come to understand it today. the ONLY threat is that the wages of sin is death. that is repeated a LOT. my teacher didn't like my paper, even though it was accurate and I only got a B- even though it was GREAT.

I don't think god is really about heaven or hell at all. people that reduce him to that are just morons and hurt the kingdom more than they help it.

god is SO much. he is love, he is light, he is right, he is comfort in the storm, he is a rock.....

well, if you know god, you know what he is.

he is NOT heaven or hell. not at all. this is an ignorant and harmful perspective.

I also pray for universalism, although the bible won't let me accept it. it seems to me that Christ's blood is strong enough to save everyone. period. but that isn't what the bible says. well, it says it sometimes, Christ died for all...but then there are other things said that require acceptance. I still want everyone to be covered anyway and I pray for it every night.

I try not to take the bible too literally. it really isn't important whether or not nit picking specific details of the narratives are true or not. what is important about the bible is the message. people that get all bent out of shape over noah's ark or job's trials just don't get it. it isn't the stories we are supposed to worship, it is the character of god that is illustrated by them.

ok ok. maybe I don't have the best rep around here.

BUTT:

I have known MANY women VERY well that I met here, and we continue to be friends. many of us have exchanged , and gifts and more.

I am not a bad man, and I don't have problems with women.

the ONLY real problem I have had with a woman here is the one I married. that was a HUGE mistake, but we don't even hate each other.

I have been coming here for around 10 years or so, and I have not even been dating since the big church marriage went south 7 years ago.

sure, there are people like frazzled and passion, and whoever that big head chick was that I fight with. but that is just fun and games. I don't really hate anybody, and I hope they don't really hate me.

me and free insult each other all the time, but I consider her my friend.

blue hair is just whack

and while I am ranting, I don't delete blog posts. they stay forever. whether they stay or not has NOTHING to do with what is going on in the present.

ok ok ok. there was that court order that made me take down all the blog posts that had pictures of my big church ex. that wasn't a REAL court order, that was just a little bit of crap to coax her into a more amicable divorce. that woman was a little whack too.

there is a lotta that going around here. female whackism.

I have POLITELY asked blue hair to leave me the fork alone.

she RUDELY called me names and kicked me when I was down, and DEMANDED I take her STUPID poetry off the blog I had SO generously given her on my own website.

I talk smack about her whenever the opportunity presents itself, but not really that much. she is dead to me. I could care less. I wish she would just evaporate into the slime from which she came.

and yet, and yet, she comes here at least a few times every week. sometimes every day.

that women is a whack a mole game without the moles

i can NOT deal with auto answering systems anymore. they make you type a bunch of information in via the key pad, and then the person that answers the phone doesn't have any of it and you have to tell them again.

you have to listen to 1/2 hour of audio commercials while you wait, or worse, music that only a deaf person can appreciate. or worse worse, bad music AND bad audio commercials.

WHY do i have to be tortured like this? WHY should i wait on unending hold to talk to a clueless person...

in this particular instance, i did an HOUR on hold last week to WARN them there was a mistake and not to charge me. that didn't matter, they charged me anyway. AND they made me do another HOUR on hold this morning for nothing. they didn't remove the charge.

SO>>>i had to call my bank and wait on hold another HOUR to dispute the charge. now i have to go into my bank in person and file a claim. another one of my favorite things, waiting in line at the bank.

whatever happened to the customer is always right? or even to prompt and good customer service? these companies do NOT care about us anymore.

STILL more pop can window stuff

I have been putting black pop cans everywhere that they might even make a slight difference. the latest window treatments pictured here in my bay window are giving me some good results. its not really that bad that I can't see out that window anymore, there is another building less than 4 feet in front of it. I do miss the sunshine in my kitchen though.

I have been keeping my thermostat on 66 overnight and 67 otherwise. it was 63 at the table in front of the bay window when I got out of bed this morning. I turned the fan on under the pop cans when I got up and the sun hit the window around 9:30. the thermostat says 68 now. the temperature at the table is 71. the furnace will only kick in when the thermostat reads less than 67. I am saving money as we speak.

even more than what the thermometer says, it is nice and cozy in here this morning. I am barefoot in shorts and a t-shirt and comfortable. the best thing about this stuff is that it is completely free. it is keeping me cozy and I don't have to pay a big corporation for it.

well, I pay the big corporations when I buy all the soda, I am a carbonated beverage junky. but at least I am getting some good use out of the garbage from it.
