i work at my old man's realtor shop twice a week. i make a little cash and it keeps me from going insane by giving me a semi-regular schedule. once a month i fold and send out newsletters, which MAKES me insane again for a while. I FINISHED the newsletters today!!! yay!! thank you god

i have FINALLY finished 2 kings. i have to be honest, i was basically just phoning home the last few chapters, i already knew what happens and it was just going on and on. on that same note, i have decided NOT to read chronicles, which is pretty much the same as kings only with a revisionist spin, and just skip to ezra. i tried to google ezra for a picture, but all i kept getting was the guy from better than ezra, who i don't care about. then i found some guy from a starwars thing and put him up

I listen to moody radio a lot of the time. I used to listen mostly to rock n roll radio stations, but I find that they do not work for me anymore. I have a LOT of 'christian' mp3s that I have collected and will listen to those when I want to hear music. rock n roll has a LOT of bad memories for me, and rock n roll radio is not my thing anymore. moody is a little TOO much at times, but it is more my thing than rock n roll radio.
moody recently had a part time position advertised. I went to the website and tried to find it, but could not. however I sent in my resume anyways to their hr department. it is in god's hands now
I got an email from moody today that told me to go the website and fill out an application. it also gave me the job id #. I found it then and filled out the app

I am almost done with 1 kings, it is grueling remembering how many kings did not follow the lord. I just finished with the ministry of Elijah that was at least hopeful. I remember once upon a time posting on yet another blog, when it was a more meaningful time on this site, the FIRST time I went through this book and I summed up the names of the FEW kings that did the will of the lord against those that didn't.
I also remember the histories that I learned in seminary that corresponded. how the nation of isreal was first split by the oppressive financial reign of Solomon, and how that continued to shape things long after he was gone.
I finished 1 kings, there are only 23 or so verses. I am in 2 kings now, it starts with Elijah's death.

i have recently built a resume for a ministry position. i have not filled out a resume in several years and it was not a labor of love at all. i am on disabilty retirement for several years now, and i don't really need a job to make ends meet, but i would REALLY love to serve. now that i have a masters degree on the books (FINALLY), i would like to see it serve its original purpose.
i had originally planned to open God's Garage Church and retire there, but that didn't work out quite so well. in addition to medical problems, not a LOT of people showed up and it had all but failed. i am sad that it happened, but i have to find a way to keep on. LORD help me.

I finally figured out how to use my rocku better. I have been using it to watch old reruns so far, and they would just disappear off my most watched list after a while and I would have to look thru all the categories to find them again. I finally got tired of that and found out about how the 'search' function worked. I am able to ask for shows by name now. so if they disappear after a while, I can find them again right away!

judges and beyond

i have just finished reading judges in the bible. it ends with a very sad and strange story, a traveling levite is attacked by people from the tribe of benjamin and his concubine is defiled and murdered brutally. he chops her corpse up in 12 different pieces and sends them to all the tribes along with the story of what happened. the rest of the tribes all unite and kill all the men of benjamin. later they feel bad about losing a whole tribe so they work out this convoluted scheme to give women to the tribe of benjamin in order that the tribe may continue. it reminded me of the disney movie the gnome mobile, when there is a marriage dance of all the gnomes. very strange.
i had finished samuel out of order, and so am onto kings and chronicles next.

i have had my on the do not call registry for many years. every time i get a call to my cell, or my land line i complain to the do not call registry online. my land line is a voip line, magicjack, so i get the number in my email and it is easy to transfer to the do not call complaint. i don't know what they do to offenders, but when telemarketers/etc. keep calling me - they stop pretty quickly. you can find the do not call registry very easily in google, as well as where to complain. instead of feeling put out by these calls, i feel empowered.

they useta say that on the bozo show all the time. it is hard to believe that thousands of people are reading my blog posts. it doesn't feel like there are that many people even here. are they pumping up the numbers to sell more subscriptions? i don't think even bozo had a host of thousands.

the 6 to 8 weeks notification, that I got LAST summer and again THIS summer, has FINALY come to pass. I have received my Mdiv (masters of divinity) degree!!
I was afraid to post any info on it, as SOMEONE had reported me to my school for SUPPOSEDLY bullying people on the interenet. I didn't want to give them a chance to repeat the BS claim before I had the diploma in my hand. they may continue their BS anyways. but I HAVE the degree in my grubby little hands, they may do what they will.
thank you for all of you that have waited for the news with me, sorry to stretch it out so long, but I have been waiting that long too. GOD BLESS ME
it was a LOT of work, but I have been done for a LONG time and it is a blessing to FINALLY have the degree
