back in the gospels

I finished the OT a while back and started with the gospels again. I LOVE the gospels, although I hate watching jesus crucified. I am in john now, and that is my favorite gospel. I try to stop myself from speed reading, but I have read the bible SO many times I KNOW all the stories. I KNOW I am missing the living part of gods word when I do that, forgive me god.

i use google as my home page, and today it has a markedly arabic woman in loose fitting clothes but no head covering. she is in front of a markedly futuristic home and a sort of arabic writing is in the back ground. i am sure it means something, but it alludes me?

should i stay or should i go?

the sermon at my church today was piped in via video and it was a big push for our overseas missions to the 10/40 window of the unreached. it actually used that song line should I stay or should I go now, by the clash, and used Isaiah 6 where god asks "who shall I send?" and Isiah answers "send me." the whole message was to like pray seriously for which we should do, that if we were to stay then pray for what we should do here.
this is something that has been heavy on my heart for a long time. I finished seminary with an MDiv and am not really doing much with what I have learned. I tried to open a church, and that didn't work out for a number of reasons, and now I am not doing much at all. I tried to join a local ministry that is doing outreach to aliens here, but I went through a lot of changes to apply, and have not gotten much of a response from them. they just send me advertisements to come to their outreaches in emails.
I have seriously considered going on a missions trip, but my health would not allow it. I am on meds that are expensive and a problem to obtain, and I need to go to a neurologist and have tests regularly. I would have real problems in a 3rd world situation, but I am doing fine here. so I am stuck staying here, but I am not sure what I should do here. I have been a part of a few small group missions at my church, and I feel like I am needed in them, but I feel I could be doing more.
what more can I do god?

new phone?

thanx to all of you that answered my last post, but I guess I am destined to let unknown calls go through; even if I have the phone on silent mode. on that same note, I think I am going to get a new phone, and new provider to text with. I met a lady on ourtime that likes to text, and this obamma phone is NOT set up for texting.
does anyone have a suggestion for a phone that is easy to text with, and a provider that won't break the bank? i think i need some sort of keyboard, because i can not deal with a virtual display keyboard. I have gone this long without text, but I think it is time to break down and get with the times

blocking unknown callers on a samsung?

i got a call EARLY this morning from an unknown caller. i am on the do not call list, and i report EVERY call i get from solicitors. this is a government provided phone and NOBODY should be calling me on it. it is also an OLD phone, and does not have any of the niceties of the new phones. i looked on the internet. the model number is NOT anywhere in the digital menu, but if i take the battery out it says
MODEL SGH-9128G (GP) UD?
if i google that model number i get a whole lotta crap that doesn't identify it. but i found a picture of my phone on images. i don't want a new phone, i HAVE a new phone and i went through SO much crap when i bought it (it wouldn't give me my minutes and worse) that i don't want to go through ANY problems with my providers again.
they tell me to call my provider to have unknown callers blocked, and that there will be a fee. my provider is safelink and calling them is a major ordeal, it will take forever just to get through, and i don't want ANY fee.
does anyone else know a better way to block unknown calls on this phone? HELP!

i useta know a guy who claimed mallachi was the italian prophet. i just finished mallachi, and the OT. that is somewhere around a year that i have been reading the bible through (this time). i started with the NT and came back to the OT. the last few books have been kind of wrathful, so i think i will start again with the NT, i NEED jesus.

i found jesus again in the old testament, in zechariah 9:
The Coming of Zion’s King

micah 5?

I have been in micah lately, and I was pleased to find jesus there, in chapter 5:
“But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah,
though you are small among the clans of Judah,
out of you will come for me
one who will be ruler over Israel,
whose origins are from of old,
from ancient times.”

Therefore Israel will be abandoned
until the time when she who is in labor bears a ,
and the rest of his brothers return
to join the Israelites.

He will stand and shepherd his flock
in the strength of the Lord,
in the majesty of the name of the Lord his God.
And they will live securely, for then his greatness
will reach to the ends of the earth.

And he will be our peace
when the Assyrians invade our land
and march through our fortresses.
I didn't know this prophecy existed, and it was a real pleasure to find it there. I am ALMOST done with this reading of the bible. I think it has been more than a year since I started. these last few prophets are mostly very short. obidah was only ONE chapter.
