Vocal Fry Speech

Some speech analysts are noticing young women are sometimes ending their speech sounds in growling tones. English is a somewhat tonal language. Speech pathologist say this will not be damaging if it is done sporadically, rather than continuously. It sounds like a 85 year old woman who has been a smoker for a long time.

Personally I like feminine speech to stay out of the lower fourth vibratory register. There are four registry's of English tonal speech. There is modal or normal tones. Lower is fry vibratory speech, and then above modal is falsetto, and highest is whistle. Not everyone can reach all four vibratory tones.

I think most of the time I speak in the normal modal tone. I have listened to women's speech patterns so long that I sometimes find myself raising my tone at the end of a sentence like it was a question. This is a good communication technique, but I don't want to use it so much. It is part of the feminine side and I don't want to find any more. I like my masculine side just fine. Remember the first man Adam Kadmon was both, or he had all of the masculine and feminine qualities before the Lord split him in half, soul wise, and gave him a helper companion who had his other former soul half. From that time each soul has two half's and they have been trying to meet every since.

Back to the fry speech, I would rather females sound feminine and meow rather than growl. If you look and listen maybe you can pick up this latest phenomenon as some are imitating popular singers who are sometimes doing this.

Always will I remember the 48 plus hours I spent in SanFrancisco. The sights and friends were memorable. This picture of the Golden Gate Bride is from high on a hill overlooking the bay area.

Staying Warm By The Fire

Many people like myself enjoy a fireplace in the winter time. Winter still reaches all the way to the Gulf Coast for a few days at a time before warming back up. There is something relaxing about the peacefulness of a warm fire on a cool winter evening, or even a morning. I like to review the day past and think about where I turned negatives into positives and where maybe I did not but should have. Then there is the day ahead for planning. Some writers and historical teachers say that our consciousness is our soul and is our personal created reality what we make for ourselves. They say further that this idea is only understood by trying it. I agree that the experience of life is one of the best teachers.

Migratory Birds Landing in South Texas

These birds fly into south Texas every winter season fron somewhere in the north. They are a favorite of bird watchers who come with their cameras and binoculars. I wish that I could get as excited about the many varieties of birds in this area but am not. It is not possible for me yet to disconnect from the hurting world and be focused only on the beauty that is left in the world. Still, I feel it is healthy and appropriate to enjoy what attractions are still left in the world as we know it. Scripture tells us to think about whatever is true, lovely, just, of good report, etc.

It is easy to go on and on about SF. It is in the national news frequently, and with Berkley, the GG Bridge, Alcatraz, cable cars, the occupy people, and many tourist attractions, it is clear why songs have been written about the metro area.

One of a kind city of San Francisco with a culture for anyone. A city of so many charms, sights, and happenings that is is impossible to fully describe. It is like a snapshot picture of the whole world. This is Fisherman's Wharf in San Francisco and me standing next to a sax player who was hooked up to an amplifier and shared his beautiful music with many people passing by. He would bow each time someone gave a .

The city of San Francisco. The only place were people walk around naked or in expensive business suits, ride cable cars over 100 years old, have fisherman's wharf with the bush man and various musicians playing on the streets for dollars, and a large atom smasher at Livermore. In the middle of all this is Berkley across the bridge and church cathedrals.

Las Vegas is not the negative I thought it would be. The very large hotels are a tourist experience in itself. For example, the Venetian Hotel has a full scale model of Venice including the water canals and gondola canoes with many upscale shopping stores. Of course there was some places to gamble, but the focus was more on very large hotels and shopping.

From Vegas it was a 10 hour drive to San Francisco across the mojave desert past miles of tumble weeds and cactus. Then I visited San Francisco a few days ago and Napa valley. Seeing is not only believing but is really seeing for the first time. Pictures alone are not enough to fill in the live feel of a place.

At Haight & Ashbury street corner I saw and remembered the hippie movement that changed me and the rest of the USA. In my opinion the revolution in personal relationships they began has continued to the point that now the breaks need to be applied. In my opinion this is what the Occupy Wall street movement is about as the purpose seems to be to bring back enough regulations to make the economy and job market fair to everyone. The Hippies gave us the freedom of expression we needed, and the Occupiers will give us the regulations we need for fairness. I talked to some of the Occupiers and gave them encouragement and thanks for the price they are paying for all of us.

San Francisco is one of the most interesting cities. It is a cross culture intersection of the world. It has, I am told, the second largest China town population. At Berkley University just across the Golden Gate Bridge I talked to the occupiers who were just outside the Berkley Student Union Building. They were peacefully protesting social engineering.

Napa Valley is indeed full of wine vineyards. These winery's are sometimes older than I am. Some of the more famous name brand winery's are gone now like Gallo and Inglenook. I saw Robert Mondavi winery. I visited two winery's.
Now back in Texas I plan to write and share pictures for some months.
