And here is the latest from my inbox here at BC...
just wanted you know am new to the online dating thing but i just have to stop and say hi because everything i have dream of , is everything you have written on your profile but i hope you have same interest in me too.My name is Ken,am from Colorado.I'm self employed and work as a Computer Engineer.I am divorce.i just signed up for this dating site to see if i can find the woman of my dream,i'm looking for a long time relationship, someone i can spend the rest of my life with and willing to do same too.I'm looking for a very honest, trustworthy, faithful, loyal, kind, loving, passionate, romantic and caring woman,Looking for someone who shares my love for the outdoors and related activities, quiet dinners, travel, and an open, honest, caring relationship,I am easy going and looking for a woman who is passionate as i am ,sensual to the touch like me.I like going to movies, the beach, out to eat and home cooking,so if you think you are looking for same as well, reply me, so we can chat and get to know each other better.i hope to hear from you soon if you're interested in me.
Ken.
P.S I' m willing to relocate for the right woman for me that will love me and i will love her too. Distance does not really matters to two heart that cares for each other..

Notice how everything is just a couple of big run on sentences with a bunch of commas. About 75 percent of the time, the capitalization is missing.

Not one word was said about my profile. Now this guy could be real but he is sending out one cut n paste email en masse to as many profiles as he can. He didn't read my profile and he didn't read anyone else's either.

And he is willing to relocate... what a surprise there!! I bet... on my dime! The love part is usually proven by how much money you want to invest into this relationship.

He says distance doesn't matter blah blah blah... In fact, he probably isn't in Denver and if he was, he was there for 24 hours on an airport layover once. Of course distance doesn't matter if someone else is paying to get you into the country... if you even see this person again after he has taken your money.

Red tape costs big bucks and a scammer will start in on their sad plea for the big bucks as soon as he can get you away from the BC mail system. He'll want your messenger, cell phone, home phone, full name, where you work, what you do, email, home address, etc.... Giving him this info proves that you are the
"very honest, trustworthy, faithful, loyal, kind, loving, passionate, romantic and caring woman" that he mentioned above.

I think this is one of the better scam letters. It's longer than most.

If you are new here, you will start receiving these here at Big Church. At first you will be flattered that someone responded. Don't fall for just anyone. A real person is going to comment about real details in your profile. Ask them details as to why they wrote to you. If all they reply is that you are so pretty then they didn't really read your profile.

Joyous Trials

I remember when I first surrendered my all to Christ. I had a friend who was one of those guys that I thought of like a brother. One of those guys who you love dearly but just want to sock real hard at the same time.

He was light years ahead in his walk than I was. Everytime I encountered some sort of trial, he would look at me and say, "Consider it all joy."

That was soooo not what I wanted to hear. Being a bit of a drama queen, I wanted to be held, allowed to cry and to be coddled. I wanted him to tell me, "now now, it will be all right."

How could I be joyous when my little world was falling apart? And he'd sit there and pop off with "Consider it all joy!" The nerve!

As I read the scriptures in James 1 today, I have a much better idea of the "Consider it all joy" thing. I now consider my trials with joy because through those very trials God is working in my life to perfect my faith and build my endurance.

So I ask that He continue to give me all diligence therefore filling out my faith, and my faith with virtue; virtue with knowledge and knowledge with self-control; self-control with patience and patience with Godliness; Godliness with brotherly love and brotherly love with love. I pray that He will confirm me, establish me, perfect me and strengthen me with His eternal comfort.

That He would watch over my eyes, me ears, my mouth and my feet; that I will be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath and that I will avoid every form of evil and not partake in any unfruitful works as I continue to yield my spirit, my soul, and my flesh into His hands.

And through the trials, I will... consider it all joy as He completes a good work in me.

Rarely do I cut n paste but I saw this story last night and it really touched my heart.

Let me preface this by saying, I live in a state where football is practically a religion. You will see more people at the high school football games than in church and Texas is home to many mega churches!!

So it was nice to see a , not a perfect , but a real who is trying to get his act together, take the perfect action. Now this is a true story and it was reported by the Arkansas Varsity website that reports on Arkansas high school sports.

In a world filled with stories about gangs and crime, it is refreshing to see the positive efforts of a group of high school boys. May it touch your heart as it did mine.

Ark. Player Ends Game with Noble Gesture

Thamail Morgan took the kickoff and headed up the field.
He was at the 20 ... 30 ... 40

He had been avoiding, dodging or just simply running through tacklers on the way. Football always had come easily for Morgan. This game was no different. By the time he hit midfield, only open space was ahead of him. The two-time Arkansas all-state selection was headed for a touchdown.

40 ... 30 ... 20

He glanced at the clock and saw the final seconds ticking away. He realized his team, Cave City, was on the way to a victory over Yellville-Summit, comfortably ahead, 34-16. He also realized two other things: This wasn't an ordinary game. And he wasn't the same Thamail Morgan.

When he reached the 2, he stopped. He took a few steps back and took a knee at the 5-yard line.

******
Yelleville-Summit is a co-op program, a combination of two small rural schools in the northern part of Arkansas, near the Missouri border. Combining the schools allows them to field a football team. But even then, the squad is so small that coach Calvin Mallett has to bring extra uniforms in case a lineman gets hurt and someone needs to fill in.

On Sept. 11, before a game with Salem, the schools came together for a pep rally. Afterward, four of the players piled into the bed of Kymball Duffy's truck to head to his house for a pre-game meal.

According to Marion County Sheriff Roger Vickers, this is what happened next.

As Duffy came over a hill, he quickly came upon a brush pile in the road. Duffy swerved into the other side of the road, attempting to avoid it. He lost control of the truck, sending it into a tumble.

The four players in the back - whose names are not being released - were thrown from the vehicle. Miraculously, three of the players in the back suffered only minor injuries. A fourth remains in the hospital but appears to be headed for recovery. Duffy was killed at the scene.

The game with Salem was cancelled.

The town held memorial services for Duffy, then decided they needed to continue the season as part of the healing process.

Before taking on Cave City, the most seriously injured of the four players in the back of the truck, spoke to the team from his hospital bed.

Players from Yellville-Summit and Cave City met at midfield before the game for a moment of remembrance. Players on both teams were a No. 72 decal - Duffy's number - on their helmet.

The game began and Cave City quickly scored. Minutes later, it scored again. And again. All hope for a storybook ending appeared lost.

******
Thamail Morgan is the type of player who can dominate a high school game. On every play.

Last year, playing for Newport in a state playoff game against Heber Springs, he had 15 tackles, a sack and two forced fumbles on defense. He had 145 yards receiving and two touchdowns on offense.

He was coveted by most Division I programs in the South. Then it all changed.

In January, he violated an unspecified school rule that banned him from athletics for a year. Morgan would be eligible for basketball during his senior season but not football.

A year away from football would hurt his chances of gaining a scholarship, so - after considering a number of options - he transferred roughly 40 miles away to Cave City. His scholarship offers did not travel with him.

"Before I screwed up and got myself into trouble, I had some schools like Arkansas, Florida State, Ole Miss, and some other big schools looking at me,'' he said. "Now they are not looking at me, but I have no one to blame but myself for that. Hopefully I can get on someone's radar, even if it is a lower level D-1 or D-2 school."

Cave City coach Jon Bradley was willing to take a chance on Morgan. But only if he met certain conditions. He not only is required to attend extra weight lifting and conditioning exercises, he is required to participate in after-school activities with a local church and meet with a pastor on a regular basis for counseling.

"Everyone makes mistakes," Bradley said. "Thamail made some mistakes that did not allow him to play football anymore at Newport, and we knew what those mistakes were when he came here. I sat him down and talked to him, and let him know I was willing to give him a chance, but there were certain things that he would have to do in order to play for our program.

"So far, he has accomplished, and continues to do everything he has been asked to do, and then some. He has transitioned well and the here have accepted him. He is doing well in class, and is a leader on the football field and is a great athlete. We feel fortunate to have him."

******
Bradley said he didn't get word the game with Yellville-Summit was going to be played until Tuesday. He then wondered all week how it would play out.

"I did not know what to expect due to the tragedy,'' he said. "You go into the game wanting to win, but then, you feel bad doing it. When we went up 21-0 in the first quarter, I just can't explain how I felt. The atmosphere was so weird. I just can't explain it."

His players sensed it too.

"They told me on the sidelines that Yellville-Summit was not into it and they did not want to pad stats or run up the score,'' he said. "At that time, I started substituting our in and out of the game."

At this point, what the game represented became clear to Bradley.

"Everyone was glad that they were out there playing, getting some sort of return to normalcy,'' he said. "But everyone was going to be glad when it was over."

Yellville-Summit eventually scored in the second quarter, after Cave City had replaced many of its regulars. Bradley did not have a problem with that.

"I talked with Coach Mallet earlier in the week and before the game," Bradley said. "He let me know that if the game was to get out of hand, he simply did not have the players to substitute due to his numbers. So, I knew that when I pulled our guys, that there was a chance they would score."

It was 28-8 at halftime. Then 34-8 at the end of three quarters. Yelleville-Summit scored a second time with little time left to make it 34-16.

They had to kick off, sending a line drive that bounced its way to the back. To Morgan.

"We didn't even think they would kick off," Bradley said. "And we had him (Morgan) all the way back. It was our top return team, but we only have one return team."

What he did next surprised Bradley.

"I did not tell him to kneel down, he did it on his own," Bradley said. "I did not expect them to kick it to him. I figured they would kick away, because he has the ability to break away. I did not know that he was going to do what he did. He broke tackles, ran sideline to sideline, and got to the 2, and just stopped. That is when he backed up and took a knee on the 5-yard line."

******
Morgan did not do this completely on his own.

"We were on the sidelines yelling for him not to score," Bradley said. "Some of the players on the field were saying it, too. But I'm not sure how much he could have heard all of it."

He heard it, Morgan admitted. But he didn't need to.

"Before the game, we as a team talked about being classy,'' he said. "We did not want to come out in a game like this and not show any class.

"As I was running, some of my teammates told me not to score, and I knew that scoring was not the right thing to do."

He was glad to be a part of what happened.

"I just want to thank my teammates for not only being classy all night, but pushing me to be classy as well,'' he said.

The gesture was well received.

"We weren't sure how gloomy they would be before the game,'' Morgan said. "They had gloom, but it was not as bad as we thought. We met before the game, and they told us that they did not want us to feel sorry for them, and they did not want us to back off just because of what happened. They wanted us to play them like we would have if Duffy has still been there with them, so we did.

"After the game, they complimented us, and even thanked us for the way that we played them. They are some really cool cats, and I wish them the best of luck with their healing process and the rest of their season. I hope they make the playoffs."

******
What becomes of the rest of Morgan's football career remains to be seen.

He is getting interest from Arkansas State and Central Arkansas. Bigger schools such as Southern Miss and Texas Tech are starting to re-enter the picture.

At 6-1, 195 with a 4.5 time in the 40, there's no doubt he can play. It's the other issues that are a concern. Bradley is doing his best to make those go away.

"I send things out to places and I tell schools, he's had some off the field issues, but if you're interested, please call me because it's not near as bad as what it sounds,'' Bradley said. "They assume his grades are bad or that he's done something really, really bad. Everyone deserves a second chance. He's doing the right thing."

Bradley said he and Morgan have had many talks, but none of them have been about behavior.

"He's not a discipline problem at all,'' Bradley said. "His grades are getting better. He'll have an opportunity to play. He's too good of an athlete and too good of a young man right now."

Bradley admitted he had concerns at the beginning but they have proven to be unfounded.

"I've never seen anything negative out of the ,'' he said. "He's the most polite . He works hard. He knows he has one shot to get his education.

"He's showing people he's doing the right thing."

That was never more evident as when he kneeled down on the field.

Sometimes you just need milk...

Two nights ago, my was wanting a late night snack. Since funds are short right now as I am on short term disability from my job, there just isn't a lot of groceries and snackie-dos have been cut from the budget.

So just as he was about to settle on a bowl of cereal, he noticed that he would be using up the last bit of milk if he did so. I told him to not worry and that somehow some way I would get more milk so go ahead and have the cereal. After a bit of discussion, I told him that God would provide our needs and he did indeed use the end of the milk.

Yesterday, my newest prescription was ready for pick up at the pharmacy and I called to find out the cost. I had just enough money for the meds and some change left over to keep my account open but there wouldn't be any left for milk.

I figured if worse came to worst, I could always get some at the gas station using my gas charge card. I hate doing that because they really jack up the prices on groceries there. A gallon of milk can run up to $6 whereas at the grocery store, it's a little under $4 a gallon.

So I went to pick up my meds and when the checker ran up the price, it was $2.50 cheaper than the girl told me on the phone. Praise God! I figured maybe I could at least pick up a 1/2 gallon.

As I was getting ready to leave Walgreens, I saw a sign that said Milk $1.99!! That's right, an entire gallon of milk for just $1.99!

Thank You Jesus! Needless to say, I happily purchased the milk and I am praising God for His unique provision! I know this is sooooo His doing!!

By the way, I don't know if this sale is local or at all Walgreens but it's a gallon of whole milk and the sale is good through the end of the month in case anyone else is struggling.

After all, sometimes you just need milk.

Often we as humans feel like we are the only one that something happens to and it's comforting to know we are not alone...

So is it just me or does this happen to others?? I cannot sneeze just once. It's like that potato chip commercial where you can't eat just one.

When I sneeze, I know there will be at least two more sneezes following... Sometimes four more!

Of course with my sinuses and all the mold spores we have in this region, I sometimes have enough snot for three people. If I was famous I could sell it on ebay and be rich!!

We've all seen those commercials for "revolutionary" must-have products on television designed to make our lives so much better like the ShamWOW or the Ch Ch Chia Pets...

But how many of us actually buy them only to find out they aren't all that revolutionary?

Sometimes these are items we buy for Christmas gifts when we don't have the slightest idea what else to buy for someone. The Walgreens I go to has almost an entire aisle of this stuff.

I know I have received several Chia Pets over the course of my lifetime. I could never get the seed paste to spread evenly and stick to the right spots of the clay shape. So my Chia Dude ended up with no hair on the sides of his head but coming out of his nose and eyes. It wasn't pretty!!

My sister bought me the Pedi-Egg this year. This thing looks like an egg shaped cheese grater. I am too scared to run these thing over my feet. How would it know the difference between rough skin and very soft skin? It seems to me it would take off the soft skin first!

I bought my mom some of those water globe things that you put in your potted plants so you don't have to water them all the time. The stem of the globe is so long that she can't fit them in the sink to fill them up! So much for time saving!!

I thought those ShamWOW looked great especially if you spill lots of liquid. However, I am such a klutz that I spill stuff like condiments. I want to see how well they work when one breaks and spills a quart jar of pickle relish!! I have a feeling I wouldn't be saying ShamWOW!

And the commerical says they are so great you can use them on the floor when you step out of the shower. I have a bathroom rug for this... and it matches my decor much better than the bright orange or hot pink ShamWows. I think I will stick with what I have.

Lately, my and I have been giggling at the Bump It commercials. This is a plastic thing you put in your hair to create your very own speed bump on top of your head. You can get all different sizes of bumps. The really big one that they call the Hollywood Bump It makes the girls' heads look so weird when seen from the side. It's like an advertisement for forcepts!!And there is one girl who looks way too much like Amy Winehouse in her after picture!! No thanks!

I bought the Smooth Away hair removal system... Ummm some system... It's a piece of really fine sandpaper that you fit into a plastic handle thing.

On the commercial, this one woman moves it quickly along her arm and all the hair is instantly gone. I couldn't even get it to remove the hair on my top of my wrist after 10 minutes... And I really don't have hairy gorilla wrists... I promise!!

I remember as a getting those K-Tel compilation albums with all of "today's greatest hits" on them. The problem was that they were never sung by the original artists... It was like the bad muzak versions of songs you hear in the grocery store.

So I ask you... What "As Seen on TV" products have you encountered, received or purchased? Remember the Ronco Pocket Fisherman? That Ronco guy made a fortune! Do the Ginsu knives actually cut through tin cans? And why not just buy a can opener?

But wait, there's more... if you call in the next 15 minutes you will get not one but two amazing thingamajigs!!

Now that I have your attention...

I saw this commercial for Columbian Coffee the other day on TV. At the end of it, these coffee beans formed the face of a beautiful woman. The picture looked just like Priscilla (Godwhispers).

I tried to google it but was unable to find it... So if you see a commerical on tv with coffee beans making pictures... check out the ending.

Some people see the Virgin Mary in their peanut butter sandwich but I see Priscilla in a coffee bean commercial. LOL

Pssst Priscilla - the pic I posted should be somewhat familiar to you... It's the Sandias!

What if someone gave you $1000 but specified that while you decide how to spend it, the benefit had to go to someone else.

Would you give someone that you know in life the entire thousand or divide it up between people? Is there a special ministry or group that you know would benefit greatly from the gift? Would you use it to inspire giving from others like funding a fund-raiser?

So what would you do?
