Guess who I met last night? Last night I was at church around 5:30 or so. I was setting up and doing my normal sound check stuff. The sanctuary was empty and dead quiet. I got ma head under the the sound board wrestling around with some wires and this deep voice says "Hi my name is Dennis". Startled the bajeebers out of me! I poke my head up and this man over 6 foot tall in a cowboy hat is standing there. He reaches his hand out and say "I'm Dennis Agajanian and this is my brother Daniel". I was speechless, I wasn't expecting him nor was anyone else for that matter. Turns out his family lives here in Grand Junction? Anywho, for those who don't know, he is a Christian singer with a world wide ministry. I found it odd that a big name like him was in my tiny humble little church. He asked us if he and his brother could lead the worship. Of course my paster said yes. It was awesome! I never mixed live music for a star before! His brother is an awesome ?mandalin? player. The two of them sang and played bluegrass praise for about 45 minutes. Prolly the smallest venue he has played in 20 years (only about 30 of us there). He had said that his mother died yesterday and he flew in from California to be at her funeral. He said he wanted to sing there but couldn't muster the strength. Anyway, he wanted to sing and praise God for her new life in heaven and wanted to do it at the church that brought her meals in her last days. What a blessing for all there, and God to spend the evening before thanksgiving praising him in a special way!  Born Again Christians only need to chew, It's those left behind that have to swallow it. |

What a blessing! I wish I could have been there. I love gospel and bluegrass and to have them mixed. Woweeeeeeeeeeeee! Lord, keep one hand on my shoulder and one hand over my mouth!
