You're not going to believe this! At the King Middle School in Portland, Maine, medical workers are allowed to give the girls as young as 11 birth control pills without their parents knowing about it. The school board in Portland voted 7-2 to make that happen. The rationale is that some will have sex and the school must try to reduce pregnancies. Also, parents must sign a waiver allowing their to receive medical care at the school. However, that medical care is kept secret from the parents, in the birth control area. Now giving sixth grade girls the pill is dumb. It doesn't protect them from disease and tacitly says that sex at that young age is understandable. This is foolish, ridiculous, and irresponsible. But in the secular progressive world. The SP doctrine is to quote, "empower " and downgrade parental authority because some parents are bad. Right now seven states: Connecticut, Hawaii, New York, Oregon, Vermont, Washington and New Hampshire have no parental notification laws concerning abortion. That means that if in those states get pregnant, Planned Parenthood can set up the abortion and parents will never know. Report by Bill Oreilly at Fox News I agree with Bill on this one. I cannot believe that we have gotten so far away from the real issue here. Why doesn't anyone talk about just waiting till your married anymore. My gosh as a parent I could not bare to see one of my die from an STD or have to deal with the emotional baggage that comes from having sex at young ages. Folks, it's at the point where we can't change it any more, it's just gonna get worse until God has had enough... Ice tea, NO WAY!!! May I ask from where you received this information and if you have checked other types of media to see if this is factual. I almost fell out of my chair when I read your post. Dear Tirzah, Yes th e prayer closet it where we should be and we need to come humbled, and repentant. God will not be mocked . We need to raise our children up godly not let them run straight into disaster. What have we done with our all too present liberality. As well I have heard of "rainbow parties" where girls put on different colours of lipstick and perform oral sex on boys . The boy with the most colours is the winner.. How low our societies have sunk that children are so degraded. gg

Sadly, those are the same schools that you can't give your kid a throat lozenge to take with him to school. They used to have the same kind of rules here but we went to our state congressional leaders and they passed legislation that requires parental notification when a child comes for birth control or abortion counseling.
