Chocolate chip cookies... these are made of the best ingredients!!! A few years ago I had scheduled a meeting with my pastor to come out to my house so we could talk about what I was going through... my , Jessica, who was fourteen at the time had made a large plate of homemade chocolate chip cookies after school and left the plate on the table for him and I... like two or three dozen for the two of us... No one told her to do this... she just did it... But why??? Was Jessica trying to make sure that we would love her? Was she trying to make brownie points ( or in this case Chocolate chip cookie points ) with our pastor or me??? No she wasn't!!! I believe she cooked up those cookies just to show us how much she loves us... I know this because of the evidence of our close relationship... She did it because she is Jessica... and she was not trying to earn the right to be Jessica... That's how it is with our mission into the world... as followers of Jesus!!! We don't do good works so we can win a place in heaven... Rather, our deeds show evidence of our love, salvation, and faith in Christ... Jesus did all the work of providing salvation... But we still have to work... WHY??? Not to win HIS favor... but to show our love... It's an outpouring of a grateful and loving heart!!! So... what do you say??? Wanna chocolate chip cookie???  Jesus said... "Your love for one another will prove to the world that you are my disciples." John 13:35  Let the shine!!! michael |

I found that one of the most rewarding feelings are giving unconditionally and without expecting reward. As the giver, I am more blessed than the receiver. Blessings Hi there, just had to pop in to say hi.

Love and chocolate...a great combination! Now you have me hungry for chocolate chip cookies...but I had an apple instead. Somehow not quite as satisfying. I imagine you will hundreds of viewers to this post, drooling for chocolate chip cookies. Seriously though, great post. Hey Terrie... Your CE is hangin in there... JJ has amazed me on the way he is finishing the season... Much credit to his team and his driving... It has been a wonderful season... just don't understand whats keepin JG from getting a win... I can't say who will win... but I will enjoy the finish... it's just fun to watch each week... don't know if I will ever make to an event... I sure like my front row seat here in the recliner!!!
