i just dont understand

i just don't understand. why 2 people that claim to love each other cant live together without fussing, arguing. but when there apart for some time its; i love you, i miss you.
how does a marriage work when it seem like its one sided?

there are all kinds of books out there on how to be good parents but nothing on how to be a good STEP-parent.

i would try and correct the but then they would run to mommy and tell mom i'm abusing them because i said something(like stop or i will beat your butt or you better leave that alone or i will beat you with it) but the thing is the 2yrs we were married i might have whooped with a belt on the butt 2 times. is there even a book out there on how to be a good step-parent? how do you make a marriage work when your the step-dad?

i know marriage is not all roses and cream.

in the end I'm still divorced. i hope this makes since cause i don't understand.
