TEARS FELL FROM HEAVEN

This is something the Lord gave me some years back.
Jesus is the author, I'm just His pen.

Tears fell from Heaven
The day my Savior died
The angels gathered 'round Him
Holy they cried

They watched the soldiers beat Him
Watched them pierce His side
They cried as they watched
My Lord hung and crucified
Tears from the angels' eyes
Blended with His blood
Such a show of mercy
Such a show of love

Tears fell from Heaven
The day my Savior died
The angels gathered 'round Him
Holy they cried

They watched satan seal the tomb
Seal it with a stone
Satan thought he had Him
Oh, but he was wrong
The Father said go get Him
Bring Me My
He said it is finished
His work on earth is done
