Hi Racefan!

I still pop in to BC from time to time, and it's always good to c u!

I noticed that blog title too. Then noticed some other titles by the same blogger, and I sense he or she thinks preaching and edification is only done via guilt trips.

But the whole thing brings up another question in my mind. Just what IS "living like a Christian?".

Seems to me, that the reason we are Christians, is because we already KNOW that we are imperfect humans.

So the fact that we all still sin sometimes shouldn't come as a surprise to any of us.

I'm not saying we should quit striving not to sin, but all the guilt trips in the world are not gonna change the fact that we all still do very often. And knowing you as I do, I'm sure you recall that even Jesus told Nicodemus not to refer to Him as "good".

And to expect perfection of us before we enter Heaven is naïve. Christianity is not simply a set of good works, or other mask of piety.

Unless one is not confident that God is a forgiving God?

I doubt I'm the only Christian who routinely prays, (365 days a year, whether during a holiday or not) to thank the Lord that I am not as bad as I would have been had He not entered my heart.

Thanks for reading and GBU,

Gavin
