But I want the big screen too! This has been a tough week and yesterday was even worse than Monday and Tuesday. I won't go into details but I am struggling to find the positive in all of this and I am struggling to keep focused on God. I know He sees a much bigger picture than I do but I really wish I had that big screen too! I keep trying to repeat His word in my brain but I keep replaying what has happened over and over again. I have been up all night. The only positive I can find from this is that all my clothes have been laundered during the night. I know the only way I am going to get through this day is by God's strength because I have none left. I'm tired and I ache. Every part of me aches but mostly my heart. I am tired of the constant injustice in this world. I am tired of seeing good people get the shaft and the wicked constantly rewarded. But deep down I know that those are all worldly blessings and in a flash they will be gone. There sure are a lot of people in this world that better have some abestos underwear! And in the meantime, all I can truly do is pray and pray that my relationship with Him is rock solid. Today is one of THOSE days that I know it will be only by the grace of God that I make it through. I am struggling big time not to lose hope... I guess that could be a good sign. As long as I am struggling then I haven't given up completely yet. His word says He will not forsake us. I'm banking on that truth today. And I pray my thoughts keep that in the forefront of my brain today. I sure hope y'all are having a better week than I am! God is good even when the jerks of this world are not! |

Oh Corrie! I am so sorry to hear that you are having such a tough week. I don't know if it has anything to do with your job but I worked for a BIG corporation for 21 years and some of the stress from the injustice and ugliness was sometimes almost too much to bear. I know, we are told to give it to God but sometimes it is easier said than done. But, give it to God. He WILL take that load off your back. Praying for you! Love you sister! May God Bless You in ABUNDANCE

When I have times like that I TRY to remember this .. easier said then done .. but true none-the-less.. John 16 : 19 - 22 19 Now Jesus knew that they were desirous to ask him, and said unto them, Do ye enquire among yourselves of that I said, A little while, and ye shall not see me: and again, a little while, and ye shall see me? 20 Verily, verily, I say unto you, That ye shall weep and lament, but the world shall rejoice: and ye shall be sorrowful, but your sorrow shall be turned into joy. 21 A woman when she is in travail hath sorrow, because her hour is come: but as soon as she is delivered of the child, she remembereth no more the anguish, for joy that a man is born into the world. 22 And ye now therefore have sorrow: but I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice, and your joy no man taketh from you. He seems to leave us alone and man that IS the worst time for any of us .. life becomes hard and it hurts sooo much .. but ya know Corrie .. HE IS GONNA COME BACK FOR YA!! (He promised!! And He never lies!!) and man when He does .. your gonna be celebrating!! He will have pressies and all kinds of love all for YOU!! (HIS KIND - the only GOOD kind!! hehe)- and THOSE you get to KEEP FOREVER!! .. just keep breathing .. and when you least expect it .. bam! like lightening!! So shall the coming of the Son of man be! overcaff don't worry over it. sometimes the ungodly get what they want in this world, but it won't last forever. read the psalms, the writers asked these same questions. know that everyone gets their just rewards in the end which will always last forever.

Pete, I must admit I struggle when I hurt deeply to pray immediately for people who constantly kick me when I am down. I try to remember the hot ashes on the head thing but how compassionate it that if that's what we are thinking of when we pray for someone who has hurt us? Usually I spend some time with God and He works on my heart a bit and then I can pray for them. But I struggle with being that light in the darkness when there are those with big boots trying to squash that light. I get worn down and then I need God's renewal to get back out there in the mix of things. Yes, I am struggling right now: emotionally, physically, financially but I do know deep in my heart that it's nothing compared to what Jesus did on the cross for us... Despite that fact, it still hurts and I have to run to Him as well as ask my friends for their prayers and intercession in the times when I am so very weak. Thank you for your comments Pete. As always you have made some very valid points! And these are the type of comments that make me think and help renew my spirit!

It sounds like the enemy is hitting you hard this week as well! What's that verse about three cords being stronger? If we all band together we can be an unbreakable cord. If you are having the same sorta week I am, then I just put you on my prayer list and am going to uplifting you!! I am so sorry you are also have one of THOSE weeks but I know we are both some how some way get through it all because God is indeed good all the time!! And He is going to get us thru it and we are somehow going to come out for the better for it!! I know it deep inside and I will keep repeating that when the enemy tries to sway my thoughts with his lies! If you feel like you can't hold on anymore, let me grab your hand and when I feel the same way, you can grab mine! Deal?
