How BIG is it?

Is your fear bigger than the size of your dreams?

Yup, indeed. I bought a wee book called book about Procrastination as a joke a few years ago. But it ended up being quite insightful. It said basically what you are saying here...that procrastination more often than not is because of an underlying fear. It is so easy to 'spiritualize' things rather than looking honestly at what is keeping us from pursuing things.

I think mine is more laziness, other projects with overwhelming stress taking up my time and a need for research as I am unsure where to even begin.

I sure hope they are! His will be done for His glory in all things! I think He gave me certain talents and skills that I should use for that very purpose and have yet to do so to my ability. But ahhh, where to start?! He has also given me a personal mission field in my son and that is a large responsibility. He will be an adult soon. Right now, we need each other more than just me going off following my other dreams. For at one time, he was a dream of mine as well!

I'd say money is a pretty good excuse if your dreams are to travel or something along those lines especially in today's economy. I do find it hard to juggle dreams with my responsibilities. Of course, a lot of my dreams include some semblance of a vacation setting. And the boss will only let me off work for so many days each year. I need to find a way to make money sipping frappucino's on the beach! LOL

So what dream are you working on? Inquiring minds want to know (and steal tips and ideas... LOL )

So you can't be lazy just because you are lazy? I do think we do need to honestly look at what keeps us from pursuing things.

And I do think some folks may be afraid to take a leap of faith. I think some people should be more afraid to take a leap of faith.

God gave most of us brains but not everyone should just take a leap because they are trusting God to make it work out. Some people have unobtainable dreams that are not in God's will but they just don't know it.

After all, we have all seen the really bad Idol auditions. Those people really think they can sing and some have sold their wedding rings and pets to pay for the trip to the audition. A lot more go home than advance.

there's a reason why it's called work......grrrrrr

to answer your question......lately it's becoming
more of a part of my responsibilities
especially the 'more effective part'
as opposed to the 'do I have to get out of
bed?' part

in God, I trust

I guess I just haven't found that dream job yet or someone to support me in my dream job which would include writing on a lap top at a beach with a cabana boy to serve my every whim.

Meanwhile I am the person at the office that won't send your paycheck to your house. I figure if I have to come in to process everyone's paycheck then they can come to the office to pick up the darn thing. LOL

Ack! There are those two words again: work and responsibilities!

What happened to those days when we were allowed to be irresponsible? Who voted to put me on the responsible persons team? I don't recall making the choice to grow up.

Someday I want to grow up to be a slacker! LOL
