Be Transformed

Romans 12:2 And stop being molded by this system of things, but be transformed by making your mind over, so that you may prove to yourselves the good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
The transformation involves what we are inside, so to bring it about, we need something that can penetrate the surface, reaching deep inside us.

What can help us in that way?

When we learn what Jehovah God requires of us in harmony with His purpose as stated in the Bible, our response to what we read reveals what is in our heart and what adjustments we need to make in order to act in accord with 'the perfect will of God.'
Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is alive and exerts power and is sharper than any two-edged sword and pierces even to the dividing of soul and spirit, and of joints from the marrow, and is able to discern thoughts and intentions of the heart.

If we allow Jehovah to mold us, the transformation that results is internal, or spiritual - precisely what we need in order to combat worldly influences.
Isaiah 64:8 But now, O Jehovah, you are our Father. We are the clay, and you are our Potter; We are all the work of your hand.

How many times have we been urged to read the Bible daily and to be regular in attending Christian Meetings, where God's word is being considered.

Why have we been encouraged to do these things?

It is because by doing so, we are submitting ourselves to Jehovah's molding.
Psalm 1:2 But his delight is in the law of Jehovah, and he reads His law in an undertone day and night.
Acts 17:11 Now these were more noble-minded than those in Thessalonica, for they accepted the word with the greatest eagerness of mind, carefully examining the Scriptures daily to see whether these things were so.
Hebrews 10:24+25 And let us consider one another so as to incite to love and fine works, not forsaking our meeting together, as some have the custom, but encouraging one another, and all the more so as you see the day drawing near.

An excellent 'thought for the day' for your consideration.
