Keep Growing In Your Relationship With God

Are you just standing at the gate hesitating?

Jehovah God is waiting for you to decide.

Why hesitate when you could be experiencing the joy of serving God and being His friend?

God has given His word - His diary, so to speak - so we can get to know Him - so we can have a relationship with Him.

Why would Jah go to so much trouble to preserve His word, through many years of hardship for mankind, through many devoted men and women translators and through many trials and persecutions, if it was not so we could get to know Him. Get to understand His feelings, His standards and principles, His dealings with His people and the nations of satan's world, if He didn't want us to know about Him?

Genesis 1: 27 And God went on to create the man in his image, in God’s image he created him; male and female he created them.
By creating us in His image He instilled in us His characteristics and attributes, intelligence and creativity and freedom of choice, not to mention, our great desire for eternal life.
These things are proof that He wants us to interact with Him.
Acts 17:27 ...so that they would seek God, if they might grope for him and really find him, although, in fact, he is not far off from each one of us.

Romans 2:14+15 For when people of the nations, who do not have law, do by nature the things of the law, these people, although not having law, are a law to themselves. 15 They are the very ones who demonstrate the matter of the law to be written in their hearts, while their conscience is bearing witness with them, and by their own thoughts they are being accused or even excused.
Animals have instinct but we have intelligence, a conscience and freewill. We are not automatons.
There is not one nation that has ever been or is now that does not have a conscience - a guidance system, if you will, that leads us toward right thinking.
This again is proof that Jehovah God wants a relationship with us.
Of course, we cannot fully utilise our conscience if we try to be our own guide. Such a gift from God requires God's imput into the system.
Jeremiah 10:23 I well know, O Jehovah, that man’s way does not belong to him. It does not belong to man who is walking even to direct his step
O Lord, I am conscious that a man’s way is not in himself: Man has no power of guiding his steps.“The Bible in Basic English.”
Our relationship with God grows as we study His word and learn about Jehovah, about His principles and standards, so that these things can then work with our conscience to keep us walking in the 'Way'.
Of course, more is needed than just reading and learning about these things.
We also need to converse with God in prayer. It is such a great gift and privilege. We should not forsake this.

Some things are very precious to God and we also need to reflect these in our nature and our dealings with all things. God's loves and hates need to be deeply embedded in our hearts so that they become a normal part of our thinking and actions.
To do this we need to daily study His word.
Joshua 1:8 This book of the Law should not depart from your mouth, and you must read it in an undertone day and night, in order to observe carefully all that is written in it; for then your way will be successful and then you will act wisely.
This makes us very attractive not just to other people but to our God, Jehovah.
We naturally tend to shy away from hateful, violent, nasty, hard-hearted and crass people and this is also true of God.
Our conscience is at work, if we let it, to make us attractive to Jehovah.
We need to separate ourselves from the hatred, violence and immorality of satan's world by tuning our conscience to God's standards which will keep us growing to maturity as a Christian.

In satan's world we learn laws and rules. Such things govern the guilty.
In Jehovah's Kingdom, we learn principles and standards which guide the innocent in God's eyes.

Christian maturity brings a deeper understanding and brings us closer to God's thinking so that we can be at a better 'level' with Jehovah in conversation and action.
Hebrews 5:14 But solid food belongs to mature people, to those who through use have their powers of discernment trained to distinguish both right and wrong.

For example: if you showed a shiny $2 coin to a , then showed him a scruffy, scrunched up $100 bill, which would the pick as having more worth.
The shiny $2 coin.
So how old are we when we percieve that the scruffy, scrunched up $100 bill is actually of more value?

In such a way are our perceptive powers trained and grown in discernment to distinguish right from wrong as to God's viewpoint.

Putting these things into practise, even in times of trouble(especially in times of trouble) will keep us growing to Christian maturity.
1Timothy 4:15 Ponder over these things; be absorbed in them, so that your advancement may be plainly seen by all people.

By learning the Truth of the Scriptures you grow in the 'fruits of the spirit' which becomes a real turning point in your life and from then on, you can continue to grow to maturity.
2 Timothy 3:16 All Scripture is inspired of God and beneficial for teaching, for reproving, for setting things straight, for disciplining in righteousness, so that the man of God may be fully competent, completely equipped for every good work.

Interesting points to ponder.
