What just happened. Urban Hermit, who used to be an active member here, visited and made a comment in this post. It miraculously disappeared. I'm wondering if the reason why is because it was politically incorrect. Either that, or Urban erased it out of fear because of the country in which he lives. The world is in upheaval now, a little conspiracy theorizing here.

I'm upset his comment has been deleted. Really stinks when I consider the calibre of some who blog regularly, who have absolutely nothing to say.

In his comment, Urban mentioned birth pangs and beginning of sorrows. Which reminded me of scripture in Matthew:

"For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of sorrows." Matthew 24: 7-8

Hi, I made a political comment about 'the state of our nation' which I believe had the comment deleted. I hadn't realised it was taken down till now. I thought I'd get a response from you but checking your posts again I see you couldn't respond. Difficult times when you cant speak your mind. Hope you are keeping well? God bless.

Judgement Day will be interesting.

Hi Urban, thanks for checking back in!

I'm not sure what happened, I had gone into my post to respond to you, but just before I did that, I deleted a random comment I had made earlier in same thread, the purpose of which was to bump it to the main blog page for all to see because I get only a few comments, if that makes sense. And when I did that, your comment disappeared as well!

It's true though, I wouldn't be surprised if BC powers that be decided that the thread was somewhat politically incorrect. A sign of the times.

Actually I do have health issues and am under doctor's care. I just found out that both my brother Steve and sister Kathy are having similar issues, we are all in our 60's now! Pray for both me and family? And I'll pray for you and yours as well, God bless!

Will pray, have a few issues myself but still functioning. Trying to help a neighbour as well, he's had GIllian Bar disease, was paralysed for a year and now is about 80%. He contracted pneumonia recently, was hospitalised for a week and was released but is not doing well. I'm trying to help him a bit but he needs professional care. The system is slow, lost a friend who needed care about a year ago, when I contacted them they said they'd see him in November, he died in October. Sad.

Gosh Urban. I just googled Guillian Barre and it sounds difficult. I sympathize with your friend as I have lung issues, and am following doctor's orders.

Yes it's sad when we begin losing folks, and yet here we are still around. I'm beginning to think that I should hire someone to help clean my house. I can still do things, and I plan to get up in a minute and do a few exercises on my living room floor, but I have to watch it as I get winded easily.

My brother and sister are having heart issues. At one point I became overwhelmed by this, meaning, how can I help my family when I'm on the mend myself. With that said, make sure to take care of yourself while you help others.

Let's continue to pray for each other, thanks for stopping by!

Have prayed for your brother and sister and will continue to do so.

My neighbour is out of hospital (2nd time) but is very weak.

Another neighbour's husband has dementia and she came over the other day, he told her to get out and that she wasnt his wife. Sad. I took my car (only a few houses away) and we sat in the car for a few hours waiting for police and an ambulance, he came out while we were waiting and he'd realised what he'd done and was upset about it. They went back inside. He's now in hospital and she's having to find a nursing home for him. She's been married to him for over 40 years. She's visiting him every day.

While my other neighbour was in hospital and I was visiting him I found they were in the same ward and introduced them to each other as they'd never really met.

I'm visiting him still each day to make sure he's ok but he's very weak.

Then the other day the lady came home and her gate had been padlocked by someone and she couldnt get into her place. We took some photos of it then I cut the lock off with an angle grinder. She was pretty shaken, she's got enough problems without this sort of thing happening. I told her to ring anytime if there's a problem. It's been a lively time here lately.

Judgement Day will be interesting.

Hi Urban, thanks for your prayers, for my family and me as well.

Regarding your visitation with the elderly and infirm. While it appears you have the spiritual gift of mercy, I think it's very possible for a well-meaning Christian to misuse that spiritual gift. Something in my gut tells me that you need to distance yourself from the woman and her husband with dementia. Something about that padlock you described, and you cutting it so she could enter her residence, sounds odd to me. Is her husband jealous of your presence and you helping her, so he decided to lock her out? Is there family that she can defer to so as not to involve you in her mounting problems? I've seen Christians do this time and again, meaning, they overextend themselves in the name of giving, while conveniently forgetting that at times they need to simply shake the dust off of their feet and move on.

Urban, make sure to take care of you! I'll be praying...
