Around 10 years ago (more maybe? senior brain) we had over 150 days without rain, then it sprinkled, it wet the ground and dried up almost instantly. 2 weeks later we got better rain. I'll never forget that dry spell. Every time now when it rains here where I am I'm grateful. I sometimes hear people complain about it but It's a blessing from God. We've had quite a few good years since that drought time. I find that when it rains, whether in my home or in my trailer out camping I feel snug and cozy, and it's great in the 4WD to go out for some mud challenges too. Judgement Day will be interesting.

One of my first memories was that of living in Indian Head, Maryland, with my mom and dad; dad was in the Navy, and it was raining hard. Mom bought me a pair of clear, plastic rain boots to put over my shoes, with an elastic strap that fastened them to a button. I felt chic when mom and I went for that first walk in them, even as a child.
