 Hi.

I think the first part of your Post is called "Positive Thinking ". By many Christians regarded as a Christian way of thinking but it isn't. It'sa selfish and self-centered way of thinking.
The Bible tells us that "everything works together for good for those who love God". Romans 8: 28.
So it comes from Him and not from us.
It's not something coming from our efforts to be positive thinking.

Being a Christian means we have a hope in Him. An eternal hope but also a hope for things and matters regarding our life and environment here. We believe in Him which means we trust Him and trust in Him. Therefore we can have a positive mindset as we believe in Him for all good things coming from His hand.

It's good to read the Bible and get to know what it tells us about God. It helps us to get the basis; the foundation of our belief in Him right. It helps us finding out what He has done for us and why. It tells us how Jesus died on a cross for our sake and how He conquered death and rose again.

Amefufuka - He has risen.

So why not go and get acquainted with the One who not only died but now lives? Go and talk with Him? Some people call that to pray but it's a 2-way conversation which can be done 24/7.
God isn't just taking care of our spiritual life or about spiritual things. He takes care of all of our needs. Even the smallest things. And He do answer us and He do help us even with the smallest things.

Hi James, I know for certain that when nurtured, negative thoughts have a tendency to overwhelm and wreak havoc on one's well being! Yet good can come out of that when entertaining such thoughts causes a person to hit a bottom to the point they've no choice but to look straight up. Hopefully, when that person is so situated, they will pray. And there, with eyes, heart and soul aloft while in God's realm, Comfort can be found.
