Wonder

Precious and Wonderful World
Romans 1:20 For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities--his eternal power and divine nature--have been clearly seen, being understood
from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.
Proverbs 25:2 It is the glory of God to conceal a matter; to search out a matter is the glory of kings.

The order in creation and the creativity expressed in every living thing gives me pause for thought. I wonder to myself and my wonder becomes worship of a sort. As I pause, reflecting, I reach for another to share my feeling and I find joy and peace knowing God is. Only your intimate touch would make my joy intense and fit for consensus: evangelism of wonder.

Where does wonder begin? Being here at all is a fine point for a beginning. Some folks feel that a simple but unanswered question falsifies one's legitimate belief in our creator God: where did He come from? Actually, the question can't legitimately be asked, in my opinion, because the same question holds for absolutely everything. Whwere and why is anything at all. Simply, scripture informs us that God is eternal and the obvious order and creativity around us is proof enough of God's intimate involvement in everything that is. Though I'm not a philosopher, I am familiar with the famous aphorism by Rene Descartes, "I think therefore I am".. In my simple way I like to make a variation on this theme by saying, "I think therefore I Am is": I have my being therefore a creator God exists. Asher-Ehyeh (often contracted in English as "I AM") is one of the Seven Names of God.

So, getting back to the reason most of us are here, if you might find this type of topic interesting then let's go for coffee; however, if you have the wit to speak on 'toilet paper' and make it sound interesting, I'll buy you dinner.
