blocking unknown callers on a samsung?
i got a call EARLY this morning from an unknown caller. i am on the do not call list, and i report EVERY call i get from solicitors. this is a government provided phone and NOBODY should be calling me on it. it is also an OLD phone, and does not have any of the niceties of the new phones. i looked on the internet. the model number is NOT anywhere in the digital menu, but if i take the battery out it says
MODEL SGH-9128G (GP) UD?

if i google that model number i get a whole lotta crap that doesn't identify it. but i found a picture of my phone on images. i don't want a new phone, i HAVE a new phone and i went through SO much crap when i bought it (it wouldn't give me my minutes and worse) that i don't want to go through ANY problems with my providers again.

they tell me to call my provider to have unknown callers blocked, and that there will be a fee. my provider is safelink and calling them is a major ordeal, it will take forever just to get through, and i don't want ANY fee.

does anyone else know a better way to block unknown calls on this phone? HELP!

 Hi Rocky.

Now I don't have a phone like yours but there might be a chance of opening the incoming calls list and maybe also open up the unknown call, and then open options and see if you can add it to a list of blocked phone numbers.

I don't think you can add any calls to that list BEFORE you get the call.
It would be nice if it's possible only receiving calls from people who were already added to your phone number list.

At my phone I add unwanted calls to my blocked list as I get them.

 - or you can get a newer phone and transfer the SIM-card. Then I guess you have the options...

 If you cant block them, dont answer the call, disconnect or turn the phone off each time they ring. They'll get the message sooner or later.
