What is the origin of homosexuality? Been wondering,about the origin of homosexuality-what is the origin?Is it hereditory,genetic disorder,man-invention i.e. picked up from social environment,or is it part of God's sexual creation? I know that in the beginning,in Genesis,God created sex for a man and a woman-Adam met (slept) with his woman(Eve) and they raised . Among all the crimes of Sodom and Gomorrha, homosexuality was the sin God could not condole,and hence destroyed it.So,if homosexuality does not originate from God,where does it come from? Homosexuality is just like any other sin. No more or less condoned by God than any sin in general. There is MUCH better evidence to say that blasphemy against the Holy Spirit is the only sin God won't excuse. We all have different crosses to bear. And for some people, their cross includes homosexuality. And here, I'm talking about the urges and personality makeup. Not discussing homosexuality as any specific act(s). (Having the urge is one thing, acting upon the urge is another.) As to homosexuality's origins, it's a combination of the old "Nature vs. Nurture" debate. One can be born with some genetic predispositions that may or may not ever become prevalent. It would depend on the right (or wrong) developmental environmental experiences that the person goes through. We all have within ourselves, some sinful temptations that we must constantly fight against. So, if one is plagued by homosexual tendencies and desires, they must strive to fight the temptation just like everyone else fights the temptations that plague them. I'd suggest homosexuals pray for strength to resist these temptations. GBU, Gavin

Skariff2, Do you share any beliefs and understandings that mainstream Christianity does? How is it that one needs to go no further than godless Hollywood movie stars to find out where you stand on issues?

No,I don't mean my beliefs,I said mainstream Christianity. I never said anything about my beliefs and I did not ask you if you share any of my beliefs.I asked if you share any beliefs that mainstream Christianity shares in which you failed to answer. Mainstream Christianity share a conservative view on the issues but much or most of your views lean far left and you are pretty much in opposition with much or most of what a mainstream Christian believes. Non-Christian attitude? Is that your opinion or a fact?

Just for getting back to the subject "What is the origin of homosexuality?". God uses the marriage a lot of times to explain the bonds between Him and all of His created children. I am not talking about some elected ones. I am talking about all the human beings He created. He do so for showing how intimate that relationship is to Him. How much it means to Him to have fellowship with all of his created Human Beings. (Prove of His wish to have fellowship with us: Jesus died on a cross.) That's why marriage is so Holy to Him. We always have the possibility to do right OR wrong. We always had. Marriage (not as an institution but as an intimate sexual fellowship between two people of uppersit sex) was made by God. Adam and Eve was given to each other by Him. They could choose to become a couple or not to. One without the other - both ways - was an incomplete picture of God. But from the very beginning sex - or intercourse if you prefer so - was meant to be between one woman and one man. And not to be broken apart with new partners. So Spiritually seen the best way of dragging the picture of Gods intimate relationship with people into the dirt would be to break the marriage. Or even better: To commit the sin of homosexuality: Having intercourse with someone your own sex. It is to mock the Holiness of God and to mock the Love of God. So I think the origin of homosexuality is a matter of unclean spirits mocking God. And do remember: There is a difference between being a Homosexual and acting like a Homosexual. There is a difference between to be able to commit murder, and to actually kill someone.
