WHO DECIDES WHO SHOULD MARRY? Who decides who should marry? Some say,this is a contentious question,some,it's a controversial question,for some,its the govt,yet for some,it's the church Who decides who should marry is a simple and straightforward question.To answer this question correctly,first of all,answer the question,who instituted marriage?God instituted marriage.And who did God institute marriage for? God did not institute marriage for any 2 people(i.e not btw James and John or btw Mary and Martha) but specifically btw a man and a woman-Adam represents man,Eve represents woman.Though there are few within the church in favor of same sex marriage but God did not intend it to be so Just as the secretary of state represents his/her President or Prime Minister,so also the church represents God here on earth. Marriage btw same sex is abomination before God.Among other sins, a man having sex with another man is the main reason God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrha.If God says same sex marriage is ditastful,the church being God's representative must uphold God's position on marriage In essence,God decides who should marry.God is against same sex mariage,the church speaking the mind of God is in the position to decide who marriage is instituted for. People in the world or the state are free to take God out of the picture and do their own thing-they could marry however they want it. But when it comes to God and the church or whoever wants to bring God into the marriage picture, marriage must be btw only and only man and woman |
