A post that's not really a post

"Well, my book is written--let it go. But if it were only to write over again there wouldn't be so many things left out. They burn in me; and they keep multiplying; but now they can't ever be said. And besides, they would require a library--and a pen warmed up in hell."
-- Mark Twain

I can't say my book is written. . .in fact, the new one I started (or restarted) yesterday is in hopeful bits and pieces. It's a manuscript I wrote for my soul mate back in our hey day. He and I have both agreed it's time to give it a shot at publication.

So, now I find myself rewriting our real-life story with a happy ending and all the giddy, mind-blowing elements of true love. It's quite a feeling. Like having a whirlwind trapped inside my chest and the biggest tidal wave you could imagine inside my head.

"On Deployment," will be a romance; something I said I would never write. However, since those seem to be selling these days like hotcakes. . .when in Rome, I suppose.

So this isn't really a blog post, but an explanation as to why I don't have a post for today. lol
