One More Time

"Have enough courage to trust love one more time and always one more time."
-- Maya Angelou

I've been hit twice with what Mario Puzo in his novel, "The Godfather," called 'the thunderbolt'. Both times ended in long-term friendships, but not in marriage, sadly. Instead, I married a friend and that, well Faithful Readers, didn't end on a good note.

I've often pondered if the third time being struck by love might be the charm.

It's tantalizing, is it not, to think that one might actually find on a site like this, one's true love. The one you're fated to be with for the rest of your life. God's perfect partner for you. What are the odds?

I'd like to think I would know instantaneously -- as I did the first two times -- when I meet Mr. Right-For-Me.

Have you ever been in love? Do you believe it can happen many times in a single lifetime? Or, do you feel love is an overrated commodity inflamed by the media?

Talk to me. . . .

"If the doctor told me I had six minutes to live, I'd type a little faster." — Isaac Asimov

I know we can like a lot of people, but I think love means trusting someone because there so many things in common so love takes time.
