Scammers Abound I don't know what it is about my profile, but it seems to be a scammer magnet, both here and on the Senior website. I've already gotten two different emails nearly identical in wording from two supposedly different individuals. Yes, I reported them. For future reference for other folks out there who might fall victim to the same thing, here's what the scam email looks like: Hello Dear One Friendship can be the first step to something else. Can we be friends? Send me your contacts for further introduction and exchange of ideas that will definetely take us to a different level of life! Please do contact me through my secured email ID ((their personal email here)) for further details. "If the doctor told me I had six minutes to live, I'd type a little faster." — Isaac Asimov |

Thanks again, Racefan for all your advice! Hope, I'm beginning to believe you're right. Every email from this past week has fallen into the scammer category. Why don't the real men send emails anymore? "If the doctor told me I had six minutes to live, I'd type a little faster." — Isaac Asimov

Hi Freewayryder. You're right. Within the first couple of emails, I'm beginning to realize the scammer M.O. (Grew up somewhere outside the US, an "engineer," a "widow," has a Masters degree or better but has atrocious grammar and spelling, etc. ad nauseum.)I have to say all 10 of the emails I've gotten this week are from scammers. What a sad commentary on this website that they can't screen people more effectively. "If the doctor told me I had six minutes to live, I'd type a little faster." — Isaac Asimov
