What was God's plan for humanity before the fall?

Sure God has always desired fellowship with us and to love us and for us to love Him, but what was the purpose or high calling of humanity? Even after the fall did that change forever or is there still a greater purpose for our creation? Perhaps to be stewards of the world and each other. Maybe it also would have to involve unity and working together to achieve the good that God desires to be done?

We focus a lot on salvation, yet do we really understand what God wants us to do after we are saved? Do you think it s more to save others?

 I believe all of creation is just the natural way God extends Himself. If not that, then I suppose He just needed someone to sweep out the garage and empty the trash.
