Moved house Took almost 4 months to downsize, sell and get rid of stuff. Having a huge shed (6 car plus mezzanine floor) full of tools, equipment etc and cramming it in a single car garage was quite a challenge. The house I moved into had been renovated but needed new tap washers. But the guy before me had siliconed everything in and it was a nightmare to re-seat the valves as even the tiles had to be reshaped with a diamond tipped tool to get the tube spanner in to undo the spindle tap. He must have renovated the bathroom and tiled the walls afterwards leaving no room for maintenance of taps. It took most of the day to just seat and replace 4 tap washers and make easy access for replacement next time. Judgement Day will be interesting. |

There's a few cover up jobs that need to be fixed, it needs new curtains but overall I'm pretty happy with the place. Much better than my old house. I've still got some stuff in boxes that need unpacking but hope to have that all done and sorted by the New Year. My daughter moved 5 years ago and sill has stuff in boxes that havent been unpacked. A friend told me that he's got stuff in his garage for over 10 years he cant even get as as it's so full. I dont intend for that to happen to me. Judgement Day will be interesting.

Hi Urban, If you mean plumbing, I remember when I moved into this condo nearly 16 years' ago. The kitchen sink needed plumbing, and my plumber had to drill into the siding outside, underneath my kitchen window, in order to access and fix a buried plumbing joint. Why it was covered up I am apt to blame on incompetence. However, my plumber did create a little doorway in the siding, whereby one can get into that problem area if need be. I have to wonder if the persons who build and even repair some of these things actually know what they're doing. When done on the cheap, without proper contractors' licensing, therein is a problem, perhaps? I suspect my building terminology differs from yours as you're from a different country; still, I hope you understand what I mean. By the way, Merry Christmas!

I went in to check and it's still the B.C. chat interior. No one goes there anymore but we could meet. I will go "the Lobby" at 10.00pm your time today. Urban, I got your email, it came through and I just read it! I also responded to it. I was very happy to get it, as I became discouraged by BC when I saw that indeed, BC is advertising their closing down on January 15 as you said. So I didn't log on last night, sorry. As far as trying to email you, I see what I did wrong. When I attempted to do it, I typed, "ua" instead of "au". So naturally it didn't go thru. Great! Hope to hear more from you.
