Friday 18th March

Well in my first Blog post, I think I should mention that I'm currently almost 2-weeks into a 3-week holiday. It's been quite enjoyable so far.

Today I decided to visit the local swimming pool. I planned on doing 10 laps (please note: I am NOT a regular swimmer) which I successfully did, and it almost killed me. Man, I am very unfit, but I'm planning on exercising my muscles (or lack thereof) everyday for the next 3 months. I will be doing laps (as well as push-ups and sit-ups) at my local soccer oval and the swimming pool on alternate days during the week. This will be a challenge as I live 90 mins aay from my work which I usually start at 8am, but God-willing, I will persist and keep myself fit in these unhealthy times.

Anyway, after Swimming I went home and helped Dad put everyone's footy tips in (takes about an hour to do). We're in a big competition with around 200 people. The winner of the competition will receive about $1,500. 8 of my family members are involved in the competition this year.

Once this was done, I (gasp) offered to cook dinner as everyone was sick of having Fish every Friday night (another note: In my profile I think I mentioned how bad I am at cooking), so Mum did some shopping and my brother and I made Vegetarian Tortilla Wraps. They worked out reasonably well, and I think everyone enjoyed them. I've just gotta keep trying my hand at cooking, and I'll stop worrying about it (someday).

Finally, I watched a bit of the Footy for a while, though it wasn't that interesting (Eels were slayed by the Panthers) and then watched The Silence of the Lambs with my brother (not same brother who cooked dinner with me). Gosh, I watch this movie about once a year and it never fails to fascinate me, and crawl right under my skin. Love it!

God bless you all, Benchwarmerbenji.
