Peter never said Jesus was God

Then that cleary shows Jesus is not fully God. Because only God knows the time of the coming, and God here is referred to the Father. The Father is greater than the .
It's plain and simple for who Jesus is. It's part of salvation. Jesus asked who do men say that I am, but Peter gave the right answer so why didn't Peter say Jesus was God?
That's because it's more important knowing and saying that Jesus is the of God. In Matthew 16:16 Peter said Jesus was the of the living God. There is no need to say Jesus is God even though Christ has divinity and godhood. Ofcourse that has to be put in context too.
Let me repeat again to those who don't listen, Peter didn't answer Jesus and say Jesus was God. Peter didn't have to say that. Jesus said the Father revealed it to Peter and Peter never said Jesus was God. Why can some people realize that??

Do you realise what being a "son" meant in those times? Or what the term "firstborn" means for Jesus? And in the O.T. Isaiah I think, God said He'd pay for us with His own blood. Also that they would betray Him (God) for 30 pieces of silver. This was JVHV speaking. And Peter didn't know He was God till the resurrection. Thomas called Him "My Lord, and My God." God called Him God in He. Ch1. And saying I am the Son of God, and the I AM was blaspheme. They tried to stone Him.

Jesus took on being fully human too, and chose not to know all the Father knew. I was speaking with funlikable about this too, but the post is gone looks like .

There are hundreds of scriptures on this, ya can't take one and claim something by it. Any doctrine you teach must line up with the whole counsel of God.

The "whole counsel" includes JESUS saying "Son--- Father" He NEVER SAID "I AM GOD". or "I sent myself here". OR "I an under MY COMMANDS"- but His FATHER's And He (Jesus )AIN'T God. His FATHER is. Simple to figger out- when YA STOP LYING ABOUT IT.

ladylightwalker,

But what is important to know. If you read how the Trinity was started you will find out that Constantine and the catholic bishops inserted a Greek term that wasn't in the bible. If I recall that Greek word it meant 'substance'. We know Jesus said he was the Father so why get baptized in the name of the Trinity as they teach? In fact, Peter said be baptized in Jesus name.
If you are saying know the specifics are important then you will know that in the new testament it states Jesus as secondary or the Son of God a 100 times more often than it gives Jesus divinity or when it calls Jesus God.
The original creed never really dealt with specifics and that was what the early church taught. The purpose of Jesus was to show the Father. He was sent to the world to redeem mankind. I have no problem saying Jesus is God but there is a problem when the mission is overlooked and salvation is now having to say Jesus is God when no one really listens to what Christ has to say or even makes a real effort to follow the Lord.
Do you see what I mean. As Paul said if he had all knowledge and not love he was nothing. God is love. For God so loved the world that he sent His Son. That what the bible is all about and that is though Jesus is God there is a distinction and uniqueness of the Son who is in unity with Father. If we make man for Jesus's identity, and not Jesus's identity for man then we make the same mistake as the Jews did when they made the seventh day legalistic.
That means we have to truly act like we know Jesus is God and that is realized when we know 'God was with us' in the man Christ Jesus. It may seem like I'm judging but if the Trinitarians added the word substance to make Jesus God then why does Jesus have always say the Father was with him and giving him his divinity. I guess the point is God is redeeming manking through us acknowledging that we too can be like Christ. Knowing Christ is God is secondary as to knowing he was begotten and taught by the Father.

Robin, I wouldn't waste time with the heretics anymore.

• Clearly and simply...
• There is no need...
• Let me repeat again...
• They DON'T GET IT!

OR...

... they "know" it already and just want to confuse weak people so they don't get saved!

NOW WHAT'S WORST???

• Why can't people realize that?

Don't give them free rein...

My comment on the post about the Trinity you mentioned What Trinitarians don't want you to know was:

I've already summarized part of the above in many many blogs and comments.

Here's one discussing Jesus Son of Man and Son of God (plus extra links) :

Clickable link: --> God did not become a man Jesus is the Son of the living God.

I don't intend to take up again what's already been said, unless something NEW is worth the time and the effort!

PS: Besides: "Mary, Mother of God" can hardly mean that "God has a mother", LOL!, and moreover it has NOTHING to do with the "Doctrine of the Trinity"!

Perhaps a better blog post in this context is:

--> 9769 9769 THERE ARE THOSE WHO HAVE PROBLEMS WITH JESUS being GOD and GOD being JESUS YHWH IS YESHUA9769 9769
