Dang, are Christians always so negative and depressing? I had forgotten, as I always do, I had forgotten why I most times can only take a few months around Church people or Christians. So many seem to wear you down.. Almost seem a lot like many are energy or joy vampires draining others dry. It is one thing to be a realist and see a lot of problems, but sheeesh we are even told to look up and rejoice. I thought it was said the joy of the Lord is our strength.. I am guessing many get their joy in broadcasting all the wrongs and destruction. Many seem to have to topple any who seem happy or even at times use a word like happy. You know, I was saved at a very young age and soon learned any time a person has fun or is happy we are sinning, or so it seemed from the Christan's way of thinking.. I just wonder if any have scripture to show me where my thoughts are right... I am sure there has to be Book, Chapter and Verse to show where we will go to hell if we have fun, or have joy and happiness. I haven't found it, is it in there?

Thank you for you posting and stopping in. I know there are a lot of great people, it was just so much of what I have seen posted seemed fairly depressing and so heavenly filled that one was afraid to just be a normal person..

Thank you very much .. and of course I understand one has to dig to find different type people... I am not sure I am any type that tries to shine, but I do try to see a lot of things a whole lot less condemning that many. I often wonder where any common sense Christians are at..

There are also many christians who live in la la land. They only want to see the good and will even deceive themselves into thinking all is good. Lot vexed his soul night and day because of the evil in Sodom, the bible says. Better to be a realist that to have your head in the sand with the ecumenical bunch! The good news is that Jesus is Lord and he will be coming back soon! The end of the story is good but before the end is all the issues in between. Isaiah 42:8 " I am the Lord; that is my name! And My glory I will not give to another, nor My praise to graven images."

I am a Christian, anyway, I am pretty sure I am. Have fun? That is why I am here; to have fun and fellowship. Yes, like Marilyn said, "Seek those golden nuggets because it will be worth your effort"! My advice (I know, you didn't ask for my advice but here it is anyway  ), just have fun and stay away from those that pull you down. There are many here that will lift you up! God bless you! WOWOWOW, before I get around to reading all these replies I gotttta put down... seems to my head like the first post I do where I seem negative and like I have said some type of fighting words... it seems that is the post all come out to play on. I will now try to go read replies, but already it seems I have realized without something to fight about no one will read or comment on posts here, hope I am wrong and have words agreeing with me instead of disagreeable words posted here. Thank all of you.

I am not trying to be a pain here, but bottom line is I guess unless we are vexed or "troubled persistently especially with petty annoyances" we can not be saved? I know and agree there is NO half saved. I do not doubt that. I put myself before you and all the OTHER saved people to tell me and God if I am saved. I am not vexed, I know that.. BUT in my book, I do not think that will steal my salvation. I have been making a list at least mentally since about 5 years old of all the things that are going to send us to hell because the second I accepted Jesus as my saviour I have been told all these things that were going to send me to hell. We need to get all the works down in one book so we know what works we have to do to make heaven our home.. I just never heard that I had to be vexed, so that is one more we can add. I still say it has been a good year and next year will be better.. Know what, I am saved and will make heaven my home, but that might well vex many if I dare say that. AND, yes I do understand we should care.. I do, and I appreciate you and your concern as well as dedication... I am not coming against you, just trying to say that a lot of life is very good.. If we are saved we are a happy people I would think.

I know we would have to talk a lot about the common phrase used of "In the world, but not of the world".. Maybe that means be so heavenly minded we are not earthly good.. or it could mean that we are quite earthly good because we know heaven is our home and where we are going.. or maybe that a lot of what is going on in the world is not with a lot of effect on us so we can have our head in the sand on some of it that might steal out joy? I do know it talks about knowing who is His because of their love for one another.. Gollllly at times we don't even see what I would call a lot of love with people in the same church let alone crossing denominational lines. Maybe we need more people with their head in the sand a bit more so they can be tolerant of what I would consider their other brothers and sisters? Thank you for your words and showing up here.

AND YES you said it: "As for me and my house we shall serve the Lord AND....have FUN doing it!" and that is what lets our kids know the Lord can be fun and still let you have a bit of chance of being saved cause many of the people will let you know you are going to hell even if you are not having fun.. Sheeesh they would crack a dried up face if they ever saw you have fun... LOL .. Thank you so much.. OH, and I am quick to add.. I am not without knowing some of what I have been or do is sin, so I am not in anyway saying we can do all things without it being sin..

RIGHT, you have hit what I have found to be so true in my years.. I at one point took a load of food to the sharecroppers and never said a word about the Lord when I would show up at the different doors... Most all hugged us and said we were the first Christians they had ever seen show up. They said they sure had a lot of people with Bibles show up about every week trying to get them saved and several of them said they were not sure any of those with Bibles were Christians.. It changed my world..

Oh, Goody! I found another box to type meaningless stuff into! I hate Flies and White Dirt on my Blue Rug!  NyQuil, Take me Away! It's the stuffy, Blah Blah Blah stuff that makes you say stuff like this--------> [post 139313] Oh, and Don't listen to Freckle Face(SpiritFilled) She's addicted to Klondike Bars!  Now don't Hate me 'Cause I am Happy, K¿ P.S. I just asked my Baby if she wantsa Neck and she said "No Thanks, I already have a neck."  Sophie says "Steve said WHAT! He must be blogging Nekked again! I do not think you should ever let any keep you away from what you feel is your joy, but I do understand in the Church communities many feel they have to run MOST off. LOL seen it all my life.. I am not sure if they will have heaven segregated, but sure seems like they will have to.. or or or will most of us have to go to hell because the FEW take it over by force. LOL

Yes you are correct there are a lot of great people.. and of course many who care.. At least I learned how to know it all.. yep, I just shut up and listen to the women.. LOL.. Well, it is true.. without a woman I know nothing I am telling you.. Shooot I still say I am ok because I ask my ex how I was before we chose divorce and she said I was OK, so I am going with that until I get another woman to tell me different I tell you. LOL I just did not know how to take you on my other post.. so forgive me if I came off a bit in the defensive.. I was not sure where you were headed with your thoughts.. I Love the Lord.. I do care a lot, but I am far from perfect.. BUT the Lord still loves me even when He is scratching His head trying to decide what to do with me. LOL Bless you..
