Your Direction Determines your Destination

That was one of the points taken from Prov 7 this past Sunday morning.

Let me paraphrase it.

A grown up was watching a group of young people, and noticed one youth in particular who lacked judgment. He was walking down the street of the adulteress, IN THE DIRECTION OF HER HOUSE (Direction determines destination).

Suddenly, out of nowhere (right, a big surprise since he was heading her direction), she comes out to meet him. She was dressed like a and had intentions to "have her way with him."

Well if catching his eye with her skimpy attire, wasn't enough, she grabbed him and kissed him.

What do you think is going on in his mind? Here is this older "experienced" woman, coming on to him.....surely his ego has just been stroked by this aggressive woman. He already has something to brag about when he hooks up with his buds, later!!

But wait!!!! It's not over yet!!!
She says she has a meal waiting for them at her house, and: "today I have fulfilled my vows."

My word!!! This sexy woman has just come from church, and offered her sacrifice AT THE ALTAR!! Surely this must be planned by the Lord!!! How could this not be from God???

"I came looking for you, and finally found you." WOW, she sure knows how to pour it on. She says she has already prepared the bed for their love-making....and her husband is out of town for quite a while, so they are safe.

So "with persuasive words she led him astray; she seduced him with her smooth talk." She took advantage of one of mens' greatest weaknesses.

"Now then my sons, do not let your heart turn to her ways or stray into her paths.....her house is a highway to the grave, leading down to the chambers of death." .....Direction Determines Destination.

I'm sorry if this may have offended you, but it IS the BIBLE, and it was preached in a conservative and large church.

Although the subject was relating to a specific sin, the principle remains the same: whatever direction the various parts of your life are heading, that's where you are going to end up.....sobering thought.

While some women might think this is a rare event, I can assure you, it's not.....even in church circles.

There is a woman in town, married to a wealthy and well-known business man, who has shamelessly flirted with me in a church service, leaving no doubt in my mind that she was trying to seduce me. I had to bite my toungue and flee youthful lust.

So, women, speaking on behalf of the single guys (especially) you know, we need your prayers.....please!

 Hi Gary, I find it easy to flirt, but that is what it is. Innocent flirting, have fun but have a line you will not cross. I do not flirt while in a relationship or while being married, or with someone who is married or in a relationship because that would be inappropriate and dangerous.

On the other hand, I was married to an extremely handsome man. Women would come onto him even when my son and I were with him. I would even get messages on our phone answering service. He loved the attention and always said he knows where to draw the line. It seemed that he did not after all. Hence our divorce. He is a good man and a very good father, but played with fire and destroyed our relationship.

If you do not act while it is happening and make it clear that you are not available, is it not a matter of keeping a back door opened? Somebody who is obviously out to commit adultery should be addressed in uncertain terms and even deserve a reminder that they are either married or in a relationship and that it is inappropriate.

To me flirting is both a test and a compliment. The one flirting, might want to know if he/she still has "it", whatever "it" is. So the flirter is testing them self. And the flirting is a compliment to the one being flirted with that, yes, they still have "it."

I think that this is one way that people can determine if there might be a potential connection between them.

As for drawing the line, because it such an ambiguous line, wouldn't it be best to not try to find out how close you can come to that line???

Now that is between two single people. When a marriage is involved on one or both sides, I think flirting is dangerous, and should not happen.

Yes, make sure the back door is open and readily available, and the front door is closed, locked and bolted, and the outside light turned off!!!

If my assessment is correct, women flirt wanting to know; "do you find me attractive?" But when guys flirt the question changes a bit to; "do you want me?"

 Lots of blogs on sex and evil women latetly so sad we struggle over and over with the same sin !!!!!!!!! Also so sorry your being temptated again and again , satan is so tricky..... IN my opinion women should not flirt at all. IT'S HARD TO BE REJECTED !!!!!!!!! BE AT PEACE GARY
