I asked for beauty Lord A man was praying and he asked the Lord to send him something beautiful. He proceeded to go about his business and came across an old woman who gave her only coat to a young girl who was very cold. The man passed her by and said Lord,send me something beautiful. He saw a young mother with her living on the streets,and giving away the only food they had to a young boy who was just as hungry as they were. Again the man prayed,Lord send me something beautiful.He passed by a grieving widow who seeing a couple in love, gazing into a jewelers window, commenting how he wished he could buy his beloved a ring. He saw the widow take off her diamond wedding ring and give it to the man.Frustrated now at the Lord, he said GIVE ME SOMETHING BEAUTIFUL!!!!He proceeded to walk across the street and there before his eyes was the most beautiful woman he ever laid eyes on.She was perfect in everyway.He was so happy God answered his prayer,and thanked him. He noticed she was struggling to lift an old tattered bag, so he offered to carry it for her.He ended up marrying her.6 months later she emptied his bank account,sold his home,sold his car and left him penniless,except she left him the tattered bag.He was so angry he said to God 3 times I asked you to send me something beautiful but you failed me! The Lord replied, I answered you each time. I sent you the beautiful woman who gave away her coat. I sent you the beautiful woman with the who gave away their lunch, and I sent you the beautiful widow who gave away her ring.The man replied, but what about the beautiful woman with the tattered bag? The Lord replied, I never sent you the old bag!!! The man was stunned!!! The Lord then replied, , that women took everything but left you that old bag, now look inside.... The man looked into the bag and pulled out a note that read.... Lord, Send me someone stupid!!!Lol,I wrote this tonight but sometimes we really do miss the things God has for us. Maybe we really don't understand fully what we are asking or agreeing with what we are seeing. I guess actions speak louder then words,or maybe beauty is only in the eyes of the beholder.Be Blessed!!!! Please remember to keep our soldiers in your prayers!!! Kristy |

Nice post, sister. Which reminds me, sometimes, we spend so much time asking God for the right person, the right choices, the right path to walk through, for the right time and the right reasons. We fail to realize that between our "here and now" , God has already placed right under our noses all the gifts from Him that we could possibly enjoy. We are so preoccupied in wanting the things that we do not have, whereas life could have been more meaningful if we welcome each morning with a grateful heart and trust that where we are at the moment is where God wants us to be.

Another gem Kristy, and back comes 'you can't see the forest for the trees'. But your parrabel just reinforces your last comment of 'beauty is in the eye of the beholder'.. May your Angels watch over you and keep you safe! hugss trev
