Thank you for your kind words fratello. At the moment I am trying to delay each sigarette to see if I can quit over a period. I agree, cold turkey is not for me lol. Blessings

Well, at this stage I find the withdrawal symptoms, let's say a challenge. Painful shoulders and neck as the muscles are tight. Sleepy, headaches and irritable. Find it difficult to think of anything else. Trying to keep my eye on the Lamb.

I regret to say that I did not make it through the weekend. I have cut down considerably and will focus on tomorrow, that is Monday morning. Thank you all for your kind words.

I applaud you Sonia.

My ex, who was addicted to drugs, alcohol and smoking, told me that smoking was the hardest to quit.

In my research on addictions in general, I have discovered that for the most part, they are substitutions for something else. Several doctors have confirmed this. So try to find out what it is that your smoking is a substitute for.

My second suggestion, also from the pros is that you don't try and quit FOREVER. Forever is an awful long time! Quit just for today, just one cigarette at a time.

God's blessing as you both face this challenge.

Eph 2:10 We are his workmanship (poiema, or poem, or work of art) created in Christ Jesus.

God is an artist and you are His masterpiece!
