Baggages we carry A story is told of a father aboard a plane with his 3 yr old who wouldn’t stop from crying to the point that everyone in the plane started grumbling. Unable to endure more of the wailing of the 3-year old, a passenger shouted. “Hey man can’t you make your stop crying? She is disturbing everyone and I am trying to get some sleep here!” Embarrassed the father apologized and explained “Sorry sir, you see my has been crying because she is missing her Mom.” “Where is her Mom anyway?” snapped another passenger. “She is in another section of this plane where her casket it. Her Mom, my wife just past away and we are on our way back home to give her a burial in our hometown.” Sorry again for the disturbance. The plane continued flying as the father continued cradling her baby to sleep. One thing discontinued though: the passengers grumbling. Alas there was peace and understanding and definitely men and women in the plane have gotten wiser. And guess what? To this day this story is helping me to get wiser as well. What about you?
